You can use simple Em - finger 1 on A string 2nd fret, finger 2 on C string 4th fret. Then it's just a 2-finger chord.

A trick that I used to get better is ti just play the instrumentals repeatedly, and if you ever get to a part where you know how the vocals match up, then sing that part and then once you get confused stop singing and focus on the ukulele. I hope this helps you!

Well. What exactly can't you do. The finger placing might feel unnatural at first, and switching to the cord can be difficult when you're a new player. But, I'd say it just takes practice.

Ik how to finger quit a bit of chords and ive only had a ukulele for like 5 months but i also got lazy and stopped playing for like 2 months but when i did play i played it like everyday and im good at playing the ukulele, and in my school i had to do a ukulele class so i was ahead of my class by a couple of weeks bc i watched so many ukulele videos but i had to go with a ukulele bc i wanted to play guitar for years but i had to go with the next best thing wich was the ukulele bc i already tried flute but i didnt have a big enough of a lung spand for that so yea.

I hate to say it, but this is definitely one of the easier songs. Some only need the basics - Am, F, G and C, but this is only a fraction of a step up from that. If you mean the strumming pattern is too hard, just do: 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + D D

Dude no joke I thought this was so hard as a beginner then I watched it again two months maybe three and it was sooooo easy. There are other songs you can play that are easier (sweater weather, riptide, cut my hair) that are so easy. Practice strumming and difficult chords. Once you do that, you'll go back and think how easy this is

A tip, you don't have to go over two strings. The . . . Alone will still sound like Em. That's how I was used to doing it.

Try and play them one at a time to see which of the notes are giving you problem. You are either too close to frets or you are touching the strings with your fingers.

2:28 I'm confused. Magic Doggy try to play each string one at a time to see if you have an muffled strings. Once you know which string sounds funny you can focus on that finger.

if your fingers start to hurt keep a wet washcloth by you and wrap you hands in it for a couple minutes

Not a great teaching style. This is for beginners. You should be showing chords at all times. You should be singing not just highlighting words. We are beginners and need you to break this down slowly. During playback you simply say, chorus, bridge, etc. Really, how are we supposed to remember the order of the chords without you telling us? I didn't learn a thing from this video. Sorry...

Christine Murray there are a lot of teachers on the internet, I hope you find one that you vibe. The vast majority of people judging by the like to dislike ratio faired just fine, but learning clearly isn’t a one size fits all. Good luck on your journey 👍🏼
