At first I was not a fan of the TV series. A few years later I watched all of the episodes on Netflix and really enjoyed them. The BBC made a ridiculous decision to pull the series just when the audience figures were increasing. Dave Mountfield who played the cafe owner Gerry in the radio series sadly passed away a few years ago.

I love CAS, the radio series, and tried to enjoy the TV series but nearly every episode was ruined by Rory Kinnear playing an utter wimp. The radio series is quite strong in terms of stories and has none of the London characters. I re-listen to the radio series regularly but have given up on the TV series. Sorry Arthur.
