The length of a circle is known as the circumference of the circle. It is the distance around the circle, or the distance you would travel if you traced the perimeter of the circle with a pen. The circumference of a circle is given by the formula: circumference = 2πr where "π" (pi) is a mathematical constant that is approximately equal to 3.14159, and "r" is the radius of the circle (the distance from the center of the circle to the edge). For example, if the radius of a circle is 5 inches, the circumference would be 2π(5) = 10π inches. If the diameter of the circle (the distance across the circle, passing through the center) is known, the circumference can also be calculated using the formula: circumference = πd where "d" is the diameter of the circle. For example, if the diameter of a circle is 10 inches, the circumference would be π(10) = 10π inches.

@@sagarmaitra3587 the diameter is the distance from one side of a circle to the other passing through the midpoint which is the same as two times the radius the distance from the midpoint. The circumference is the length because it is the perimeter or length of the border of the shape. Think of a rectangle the length is the longest side, a circle has one side so that is the length. Length is a term that doesn't really apply to a circle much but I hope this helps.
