I agree with TJ’s point that Season 3 will have an overarching story of Mark going rogue. Starting with Mark V Cecil in the premiere then I think the Season 3 finale will be more like an epilogue with the final Sequid invasion and Invincible killing the astronaut which would lead to him having that retrospective about killing and returning to the classic costume. Now regarding the Black/Blue suit I think it needs to happen at the end of season 2 due to the title cards and I think he will do this after Angstrom and this means Mark returning to classic colours in the season 3 finale is a call back to last seasons finale

I had the exact same thought as TJ about the show combining issue 33 and the invincible war! It makes sense so non-comic fans don’t get tired of the show bringing him so much. Or alternatively I thought that 33 happens this season but Angstrom unleashes the alternate Invincibles at the end of this season as a contingency plan against Mark and season 3 will open with the war.
