@notna7991 Recoil is the increasingly random and larger pattern where the bullets land with the more shots you take. This is not to be confused with spread which is the random area in which a bullet may hit given no recoil or movement. (Movement throws your aim off in CS.)

pull down as you shoot with the ak, the recoil goes 80% of the time to the upper left of the crosshair, so as you shoot pull your mouse down and youll see that the bullets still go to the place you want them to go

@noeLnose thats true, the net settings depent on every ones network connection between his own provider server and the connection from his own to the game server so the settings are allways different ! Just google it or in Wikepedia :P

@wolffandi well when you are lagging it will be harder to control recoil try typing fps_max 40 and spray you will see..So when you get the rate commands it will be faster and more effective..

@djukafox Because if your monitor's bad enough to cause noticeable input lag with VSync on, it's affecting your gameplay at least as much if not more with it off. You may not realize it because you're used to it.

You forgot the most important difference between the AK-47 and the M4A1: Different hit box position. A player with the M4A1 is much harder to hit in the head because the gun is held up to the face making you likely to hit the left arm. The AK-47 is held at the hip by the model exposing the entire head except when crouching. Single clicking isn't good. Bursting 2-3 bullets is good. You have to compensate for the following bursts for recoil. But it helps random spread be less of a factor.

I use m4a1 anyway. Less recoil = more burst shots. More burst shots = More shots you actually hit. Plus silencer is less able to give away a camp spot.

this way is more acurate...But the way of bursting three or two bullets is cool to...This video was posted in february 2009 im much better now.I will also make my gameplay video :).

@counterboy150 well you see its becuz of the ping each server has different ping when the ping is 20 its easier to control,when its 60 its harder its like when u tap in fps_max 101 its easy to control it and when you tap fps_max 70 its harder :)..

@GrifoMTL Well, m4 isnt really easier to shoot with. Many people prefer the ak47 over the m4 not just because of the power. I find ak47's spray easier to control, but that's all preference. Most people prefer the m4a1's low recoil, but it isnt by that said that its a easier gun to shoot with. M4 is a weak gun, i agree. actually some people find ak47 better to shoot with. M4 aint easy shooting, it just has less recoil. I'ts all preference. AK47=more power | M4=less recoil. Easiest gun is prefere.

Not sure why anyone would have Vsync off. I always play with VSync on. Tearing is just annoying and distracting. If you want a higher FPS and lower input lag, get a better monitor.

@djukafox Red Alert is a noobie RTS. Pick up StarCraft II. You need a better monitor if VSync slows you down like that.

there's no such thing in cs called "harder to control" it's based on the guns recoil, lower recoil= less spread. m4 has a great recoil but ak does'nt have much good as a recoil. if u lag i dont recommend using ak
