I initially played on a 56k modem (hence why lan meetups were vital for competitive) and when i got the first ADSL modem i was destroyed people with there 200 ping vs. my 30ping. Good memories but to be among the best even then was way to much time in darkened rooms and i had just started a family. ps: we had cheaters back in 2000 too. I remember a competitive game where a famous pro player was recorded and his weird actions shown to all. Then the recording was played back with the cheat invisible walls enabled and suddenly that pros actions made sense. He was reacting to players behind walls. yeah i remember your protests of innocence you pos.
