You can’t just join ctsfo 19 first you have to apply as ARV or Sco19 then you go a few months for training and then you can apply to join

@@fazealpha6150 wrong you have to join as a regular constable then after 2 years apply for AFO(Authorised firearms officer) then I think another 2 years in that role then you can apply for SFO(Specialist firarms officer) then to become CTSFO(Counter terroristed specialist firearms officer) you have to volunteer and pass much more demanding tests than the last 2

I'm a CTSFO Officer, it's fucking stressful. The Manchester Bombing were the worst. I remember deploying alongside ARVs. 50 or so officers involved in securing the area as we went inside to clear it.

A very powerful video, shows what Police AFO's are tasked with in the modern world Very tastefully and respectfully done I would add, a lot of the actual footage of UK Police firearms officers is 'normal' AFOs as opposed to CTSFO But that takes nothing away from what is, a very strong reminder of why these officers are there RIP to those needlessly murdered at MEN Arena that night

All are trained and taught tactics at Credenhill for responding to terror incidents. You’ll find some of the Credenhill lads were in Manchester supporting the Manx CTSFOs as part of the operations to round up the suspected terrorists accomplices. It’s all in a days work for those that operate 🤙🤙

In Rio, you fight in the middle of the city against criminals with .50 cals , M249s AK 47s, FN FAL, grenades, TNT IEDs and stuff like that.. it is in the middle of the city like I saw many times...

No these are the Mets SCO19 CTSFO (Counter Terrorism Specialist Firearm's Officer's) the main Armed Police are just Armed Response Units. Which mainly deal with knife crime

What are you on about? Without these guys there would have been many more attacks. Just because they aren’t always there straight away at an attack doesn’t mean they don’t do anything. They are always going round arresting terrorists before they have a chance to do an attack. You don’t always see them, but that’s because they are always working in the background doing an extremely important job
