the snare is so damn nice. RIP Vinnie Paul! The selection of every individual piece is prime time, but the snare is my favorite. Really some of the best sounding cymbals i've ever heard in a library.

Maaaan, I remember having the “silent war” drum vid on repeat back in high school. This is so cool to see, you’ve come a long way man. These samples sound excellent. The UI and tones easily compete with GGD/Mixwave. Can’t wait to see what other libraries come along!

Around 8-9 velocity layers and 5 RRs each. Enough to make drastic and fluent dynamics of each kit element.

Yes, this is covered in the Control Panel section of the video. 6:28 - you can toggle all processing off to raw

It has a lot of blast beats and grooves that are typically used in black metal tracks yep!

Well i just checked again, and actually this library looks to have only sounds for hat tip closed, edge closed, and open. And of course the pedal-close sound (plus two quick open-close sounds but these are probably not useful for us edrummers). So it's just a matter of hitting MIDI learn for those 4 notes and striking the pad for that situation. For instance, for cloed top/tip, you'll hit MIDI Learn for the top-closed sound, then hold down your hihat pedal and strike the top of your hihat pad. Then do the same for the edge. Then release the pedal and do a MIDI Learn for the top and edge for the OPEN sound. Then make sure you MIDI Learn the hihat closing sound with your pedal.

Do you have CPU overload problems?

If you have CPU overload problems you may need to increase your buffer size in your DAW, or disable some CPU processing in the Control panel of Counterkit.

Sounds great, but uses way too much ram. More than GGD and about twice as much as Mixwave.

It shouldn’t use a lot of RAM at all. Counterkit is heavier on the CPU because of the amount of processing used to make the kit truly “mix-ready” instead of just saying “mix-ready” and then requiring additional processing in your DAW. You can scale the amount of CPU usage by disabling processing in the Control panel.
