Bro, Counterparts is addictive. It's like there's 500,000 other hardcore bands out there. But this one is mine. I don't care what anyone says, I love these guys. They speak to my soul. Thanks for the upload!
@dwreck3385 жыл бұрын
Joshua Moore Yo I couldn’t agree with you more! They are my fav hardcore band. Lyrics are relatable and the instrumental parts are straight up addicting.
@Southboundpachyderm4 жыл бұрын
Counterparts is the whole reason I fell in love with hardcore. I mean I was listening to Dead Kennedys and punk hardcore, but never really got into hardcore as a genre because of my grievances with the straight edge authoritarians that bragged about beating drug dealers up (which is so fucking opposite of what hardcore originated as being the working mans music and finding comradery in the anger and frustrations of capitalism). counterparts is something completely different and so fucking real that I can't help but love every single song they have. The emotional lyrics fit so fucking well with the power and anger of hardcore. I can't help but start swinging my fists around when I hear good shit like counterparts. Counterparts I think speaks to the millennial and zoomer generations sheer desperation and sadness from a broken capitalist society that's rejected and repressed our true desires as human beings. I think Brendan speaks to that depressed feeling younger people like us because we feel angry and desperate for change, but feel hopelessly lost because no one (society) seems to care what's best for our souls and not just our pocketbooks. Counterparts isn't just hardcore music, it's revolutionary music. I consider them to be a voice for a generation, and I sincerely hope that more and more attention is given to bands like this that speak on real shit and not just booty and money.

@@LarryLooseman He's not wearing in ears. They probably can't afford them. Touring is fucking expensive as it is, sometimes you gotta make sacrifices to make that paycheck at the end of the show. Labels are useless these days and serve only to lock artists into indentured servitude through the debt they force the bands to take on.

@DrumMasterT6 жыл бұрын
Someone get these guys some ear protection. Solid drummer...but I can't help but think damn it must be loud on there and how much their ears are gonna hurt/get damaged. I know it's rock and roll and all that but you can't rock and roll when you can't hear anything. In my opinion the No1 benefit of in ear monitoring is that fact you aren't killing your ears, above the fact that you can actually hear the band properly. Protect your hearing fellow drummers...tinnitus and deafness are no joke!
