No biting the packagerino Kripperino the technique used here is called Natural Harmonics. The sound is produced by lightly placing your fretting finger over the metal part of the fret without pressing the string all the way down. Then, pluck the string and immediately release your fretting finger from the string to allow the harmonic to resonate.

its actually a pinch harmonic, not a natural harmonic. Its what makes the "squeal" sound and its done by lightly grazing the string with your thumb after plucking it with the pick. its tricky to get a hang of but watch some videos on it and practice a lot and you'll get there

I found what I believe to be the correct tab on songsterr and its slightly different. I think this guy wrote the tabs himself so good for him he got it really close but not exact
