The 90's was the coolest decade in my life and I'm in my fifties. The best music, people were cooler, nicer and more respectful. Life wasnt cheap. As a woman, dudes were cooler and more respectful. No f#$** social media. I love Counting Crows. One of the great bands of that era. It reminds me of taking pictures on my daughters high school prom night. Miss those days terribly ..Want to beam myself back. xoxo

Just got back from the concert three hours ago. 1) I miss the 90s so much, it's crazy. 2)They sounded sooo soooo good. I love them, his voice is actually getting better as time goes on. 3) I hope they know we all still love them. They sounded like perfection tonight.

It's funny: when I was a kid I used to love this song, because it made me feel motivated to move out of my hometown (due to how boring everything was). Now as an adult, it just fills me with so much nostalgia about that same hometown, and the memories I have of growing up there. Just goes to show this song was brilliantly written.

I just listened to this song for about the 50th time, and focused in on the instruments for the first time. Not that I hadn't heard the instruments before, of course. But this time I really paid attention to the talent level. Every one of these guys jams! Not only that, but they do several different breakdowns where just two instruments hold it down for a moment, and every one of those segments works. Fantastic track! 😎👏👊🤘🕺🎯🎸🎹🥁🎼🎶🎵

Growing up in small town Utah....I feel this. She sat right down on the sofa I said, "Where have you been? I've been waiting for you. Hangin' around this town on the corner I been bummin' around this old town too long I been hangin' around this town on the corner I been bummin' around this old town for way too long And this girl listens to the band play She says "Where have you been? I've been lyin' right here on the floor" Well, I got all this time To be waiting for what is mine To be hating what I am After the light has faded Hangin' around this town on the corner I been bummin' around this old town so long I been hangin' around this town on the corner I been bummin' around this old town for way, way, way, way, way too long I Hangin' around this town on the corner I been bummin' around this old town too long I been hangin' around this town on the corner I been bummin' around this old town for way way, way, way, way too long Way way, way, way, way too long Way way, way, way, way too long Way way, way, way, way too long Way way, way, way, way too long Way way, way, way, way too long Way way, way, way, way too long

I was born in '92, and I can tell you all that I was raised with a part of the 90's inside of me. Looking at music from the last 10 years, music has taken a leap off a cliff. You could fart in a mic now and get a platinum album, in my opinion. Bands like this are inspirational and uplifting.. They gave music more then just a beat, and know-nothing lyrics. They added meaning.

What town are you hanginaround for way too long? Mine was Stroudsburg pennsylvania. Lived there for over 20 years before moving away last year. It will always hold a place in my heart.

When i was younger and my dad had a boat, everytime we went up to the lake we listened to CC, especially this song. Now it would seem unfit to play any other song while at the lake. Best lake song IMO

I related to Counting Crows music in a big way ever since 'Round Here'. They were with me when I was lonely and sad. Then this album dropped and changed my life more than any song ever has (and probably ever will). I went from a shy and embarrassed kid to opening the windows and blasting this this thing and screaming at the top of my lungs. I still listen to it whenever I'm feeling insecure. You see, I can relate to many songs because they match the way I'm already feeling. They say all the words that I want to hear. But, few can take a rejected tormented lost hopeless soul and say I've got all this time to be waiting for what is mine to be hating what I am after the light has faded! I said, fuck it, I'm going to be whatever the hell I am, but I've got to get out!!

One thing I have always loved about Counting Crows since the 1993 album is Adam never lets the talent of the band go to his head and claims himself as the lead singer that holds the band together. In reality, every band member and Adam truly love music and to jam and they still work together to this day to make great music. Adam always makes sure to never take all the credit and in some cases, will correct a person and remind them that its the whole band that make it happen. This video is another great example as the Crows being Crows. Smiling, jamming, and having such a great time. Its never all about Adam. Its about the music they make together and everyone feeling blessed they are along for the ride. "There's a bird that nests inside you. Sleeping underneath your skin. When you open up your wings to speak I wish you'd let me in"

Gary Harris I know the feeling! I so wish I could go back and live the 90s all over again just to re-experience all the amazing music for the first time again. The 90s was the best generation ever for music The radio played good music, MTV actually played music videos, and there was cassettes and then CDs, Walkmans, man those were the days!

My mom has always referred to this as my "first favorite song" because my dad had the cd and I would just make them play it over and over again. I was five years old and dare I say this song set me down the rock and roll path that I've been down and now at twenty two I find myself listening to this again. I still love it as much as I did back then.
