🎵 1993 - Música boa é assim mesmo, sempre será eterna! 😉🤟🎼🎧🎸🇧🇷

The thing that is so great about this album is the fact the T-bone Burnett was insistent upon everything being dry as a bone. The guitars are dry the lead vocals are dry everything is bone fucking dry and a dry mix never ages. Listen back to all of the stuff from the 80s in the 90s that had reverb all over it and it sounds outdated. So adding reverb to some thing that was originally mixed dry is definitely a bad move. The original version will never need to be remixed because what was released on that album in 1994 is one of the best mixed and mastered Rock records that has ever been released. It’s rivaled only by the brilliant Tom Lord Alge mix of Toad The Wet Sprocket’s 1997 overlooked masterpiece “Coil”. that record is one of the best sounding records I’ve heard in my life.

Well, a bad move in your Opinion - I accept that, but i differ. I dont know how old you are, but i am in this Business for almost 40 Years now, buying Stuff, composing, playing, producing and mixing Stuff and i ve heard it all. Its all a Matter of Taste and my Mix would have been paid very well back in the Days. So there is is no bad Move to be a little creative with Things, otherwise you just could be lazy all day, watch TV or rant in KZbin Comments. Think positive. ;-) Btw, if i had the original Multitracks and not just those Submixes it would sure sound really awesome. So indeed we have a Compromise here.

@@MrRockingDodge I think it's a pretty good attempt, but I don't care for the bass drowning everything else out, the high hat making my ears bleed, and the reverb. It's just my personal taste, though. I'm not saying that it's objectively bad. I do like that the backup vocals are a little more accentuated, but I think that they are a little too up front. That's probably the mid-boost, I'm guessing? Thanks for the attempt, though. It was still a good listen.

@@Real_LiamOBryan I just tried to get a bit more Punch to this - again, this is not a classic Remix with all single Tracks from the original Recording, but only some Submixes from Stereogroups i stumbled across somewhere. Means, i got the Drums as a Stereomix as well as everything else from Guitar to Vocals - all premixed Stereotracks - I even dont know where those came from, as well as who created them and how. If someone only finds Mastertapes in an Archive and starts giving out isolated Sumbixes without being asked to do so, it doesnt mean they are automatically excellent. You always have to treat old Mastertapes and transfering Machines very professional to get them rolling and sounding fine. This might not have been done officially, so whatever you find might sound totally different than what they used back in the Days. I wouldnt have tried it if i havent found these Tracks by by Random - was not even looking for them. So i cant tell if it is the Case the Tracks i find and put some work in are digitalised professionally before. Just getting Stuff and try to put together what i've got. Looking back, i would do it a bit different.

@@MrRockingDodge *"If someone only finds Mastertapes in an Archive and starts giving out isolated Sumbixes without being asked to do so, it doesnt mean they are automatically excellent."* I see. I don't know anything about this stuff. It sounds like you did the best you could with what you had to work with, from what you're saying, excepting a few tweaks you might make. Man, I wish I had your skillset. It was really interesting to hear. Thanks for working on it!

Would be okay without that reverb. He sounds like he’s singing from the bathroom

Well, a matter of Taste, but looking back i would possibly change that.
