If you never stare off into the distance your life is a shame. Durwitz is one of our best song writers.

He really is. Quite remarkable. Last time we saw them live he talked a lot about the genesis of songwriting and told stories that I really enjoyed as it informed some of his process.

@@Slider6294 I must have been at that concert. It was great hearing the genesis of the songs. That the songs are still important to them makes all the difference

A blanket of stars covers me in my bed... I'm living in Maine now, where the nights are so black I can see a million stars. Happy to be listening to my favorite music after going through some tough times a couple months ago. Praying I never have to go to that place where I couldn't listen to any music for 11 days. Depression sucks.

The seem to be the happiest, fun loving band/group of mates in general. No wonder it worked.

This is a completely, totally excellent performance. I have a feeling it was the last number of a set or maybe of the whole show. Notice how at the very end, Dan Vickery, Adam Duritz and David Immergluck have stepped up higher and are holding their instruments aloft! The entire band is incredibly tight and together. You can see it, hear it and feel it too. Bravo to these seven gifted musicians: Jim Borgios Drums & Backup Vocals David Bryson Guitar Adam Duritz Vocals & Keyboards Charlie Gillingham Keyboards & Accordian David Immergluck Guitar, Mandolin & Backup Vocals Millard Powers Bass Guitar Dan Vickery Guitar & Backup Vocals

I can't understand how this video alone has 47k views. I think the value of music created by a poet like Adam Duritz is not being appreciated...

The empty stool shot at 5;15 is a metaphor for Adam's performance. Too bad... Too bad 12 years ago. Too bad.

@@GammaNu955 The way he sings the songs live has almost no resemblance to the record. I'm a huge fan but wish he didn't stray so far during live performances
