7 years of playing classical guitar as a hobby and finally I'm on the road to understanding rhythm .Thanks.

have studied a lot of youtube tutorials but your first basic lessons and these clapping lessons are realy the best! THXS!!

it did translate very well. I've been a guitarist for a long time but I've never really been into playing rhythms as much as melodic lines. I've found myself in a band setting again and trying to be a more mature player. these are really helping me get back in the swing of things and allowing me to communicate rhythmic ideas to the drummer.

Thank you so much! I play the violin and I went to a festival yesterday and the lady who was making us sight reading said I need to learn how to count because I was all over the place. This helped me because I clapped along and I think I understand it! Thank you!

Hi,This si superb thanks so much. I'm learning the saxophone and my teacher always wants me to say/count the beats to get the rhythms before even trying to play them. We do that in lessons but obvioulsy wnat to use the time with the instrument. This is a great way of practicing. Everyone should look at this. Thanks again, your making it much easier.

Oh wow! I need to have my students do this! This is the kind of thing that needs to be done without using or worrying about any instruments. I'm big on clapping exercises for learning rhythm but hadn't come across many till right now. Many more would be wonderful!

I great idea and useful practice. Thanks for making this clip. If there request i would ask for making it easier to follow is tell people where they are and what you want them to follow a bit more often. At several times, it was unclear which stave you were reading from and when you were moving onto the next on or going over the first stave another time..

Mark you are extremely talented on all accounts in music and on various instruments and also attractive as well ;o). I have been watching your videos in awe on your talent and have developed a great liking for your teachings. I have been doing self study with the piano and this video has really assisted me in the understanding of reading music. The only thing that troubles me is that you and Kevin cater more to the teachings of "Saxophone" not so much your piano audience. Lets change this! lol
