@@PaulHipToBeSquareAllenit is weird, I agree. We have civil wars and foreign influence. That is all coming to an end. I’d also like for you to do your own research on Somalia. Oil reserves in the US can provide opportunities for investors to benefit from the performance of the oil industry and potentially earn profits as the country's oil reserves play a significant role in the economy and global energy markets. However, it's crucial to thoroughly research and understand the risks associated with investing in this sector, such as volatility in oil prices, geopolitical factors, and regulatory changes.

Things are strange right now. The US dollar is becoming less valuable because of inflation, but it's getting stronger compared to other currencies and things like gold and property. People are turning to the dollar because they think it's safer. I'm worried about my retirement savings of about $420,000 losing value because of high inflation. Where else can we keep our money?

Exactly! That explains why Oil doesn't mean the same for everybody when it comes to profits. The richest countries are the ones with the lightest Oil and easiest procedures of extraction. Among the types of Oil, the best is called precisely *Dubai Light* followed by *West Texas* and in the other end the *Nord Sea Brent.* The West Texas' is now called Intermediate Texas' and the Dubal Light is not mentioned anymore although it keeps flowing.

Fascinating. I suppose these are "proven reserves," a number that changes as oil is pumped and more is found. Also, the price of oil is variable; whatever these numbers, they will daily change. Also, the quality of oil in each case, whether "heavy" or "Light," will be individually subject to market fluctuations. But a fascinating display, as many of these are. Interesting to note that lotsa oil doesn't mean riches. Government incompetence is a much stronger force.

Canada has the US for protection, lol. Canada has a small population, small military but highly trained. Open borders and we consider Americans our cousins. (NZ, Australia and Britain are related too as our democracy is similar and once connected to Britain). Canada has resources the US wants and needs, but both Canada and US has everything we need. We can survive deglobalization. Mexico is on board they've opened up manufacturing! So we are good here in North America! NAFTA Canada also has 20% of the world's fresh water. So far Canada is 80% green energy. I don't see how EVs will work here outside of major cities. I'm up north and near a major highway, we have one EV charging station for travellers. We all drive 4x4 trucks and have "big boy" toys which all consume gas! Natural gas heat is cheaper and more efficient than electricity in our cold winters! I will be dead before any oil wars break out! I believe it will be over water not oil!

Even in purely geological terms, I find many of these figure hard to believe. Could it be that "oil reserve" statistics are subject to political and commercial manipulation? (Hard to believe they aren't). They are also parenthesised by the scientific meaning of "oil". Not all oil is the same, some a lot more valuable than others and some a lot more accessible than others.
@Rick_Sanchez_C137_
@Rick_Sanchez_C137_ Жыл бұрын
America lies about ours. Google the definition for “Confirmed Oil Reserves.” According to the definition there has to be a well pumping from a deposit for the amount in that deposit to be counted amongst our reserves, and yet we’ve been doing “exploratory” mining since the 1950s where the oil lease granted by the government will allow a company to go down to the necessary depth, bring up enough oil to have made drilling the well economically feasible and profitable, and then the company has to cap it off after a certain number of gallons have been pulled from it and go start another well…. Once that well is capped that deposit no longer contributes to our confirmed oil reserves, the government has been lying and playing a chess game to keep Americans in the dark and poor (were the government to allow more drilling they could also use it to pay off our national debt, pay each American citizen a portion of the profits [kuwait gives their male citizens about $60,000 per year as their portion of the profits] and Americans would all have more money and thus have more options)…. But congress uses the power to make their buddies rich and then retire to get consulting jobs working for those buddies, consulting jobs being a euphemism for the bribe today for yesterday’s corruption……. In reality The United States has at least 6 times the oil that is known to be reachable in the Middle East….. If you don’t believe me, then start doing some research, it shouldn’t take long for you to find out we have a lot more than they claim. Meanwhile half of our people have been duped into believing we’ll run out of petroleum soon and have to invest in other technologies… what a joke. We should always be researching other technologies, but there is no need to be converting over to electric, it’s a shell game to deprive the people of power and riches….

Niger is not Nigeria. Niger and Nigeria are two separate countries in West Africa, although their names sound similar. Niger is a landlocked country that borders Nigeria to the north, while Nigeria is a coastal country with many diverse regions and over 250 ethnic groups.

Sudan is in the list however South Sudan is an independent Nation that has its own Oil Reserves however it has not been listed hint is South Sudan uses Sudan pipeline to transport oil to the international market, another hint is Sudan oil to South Sudan in comparison, South has the oil and North has the equipment so at least the creator combined the two sisterly Nation still combined Oil reserves would be higher let alone South Sudan.

When the USA talks about oil independence, we are taking numbers from NORTH AMERICA energy independence. The USA imports several million barrels a day from canada. This number probably includes Canada digging up oily sand, and washing the oil off and piping it down to the US

The problem is a lot of Canadian oil has high extraction costs-offshore, oil sands, or in remote places. Oil reserves include oil that will probably never be extracted-like in the high Arctic. I was surprised to see Austria here, but I suppose they have some of the same underground structures as Romania. However, by the time you buy the land and satisfy the environmental regulations of Austria-the only produced is going to cost way above market price.
