Idk I think towards the end it starts describing how monoploly games end Or at least all the ones IVE played
@zandaroos5535 ай бұрын
@@EllpaFox47A game of monopoly is exactly how the USSR ended though. After the central government disbanded all of the local Soviet politicians literally stole all the state-owned enterprises for themselves and became the modern billionaire oligarchs and dictators of Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan etc. while their people lived in squalor. The only exceptions to this were the Baltic states which became wealthy democracies, and their neighbor Belarus which was and still is run by a former Soviet hardliner who functionally runs the country as the last remanent of the USSR. Otherwise high-ranking Soviet politicians and party members played monopoly with all the state owned industries, took full ownership of them when they privatized and got unfathomably rich from it while the average Russians saw their incomes cut in half and skyrocketing unemployment.

I love the continuity with the background dogs, though I can't identify all of them. So at 2:22, we have from left to right: -Not in the toyhouse folder, but we see at 3:11, that this is Kazakhstan -Unknown, I'll call her Dog 1 -Russia -Ukraine -Unknown, I'll call him Dog 2 Dog 1 and Ukraine reappear at 2:35 and seem to be portrayed as Russias children. This impression is later strengthened at 3:57 where they are framed pictures of them in Russias house. At 2:49 we have another line of dogs, from left to right: -Some random dog that won't reappear and that I can't identify -Dog 1 -Kazakhstan -Russia -Ukraine -Another random dog that won't reappear and that I can't identify -Dog 2 At 5:03, Russia is on the most right, and not in the center as usually. There we have from left to right -Dog 2 -Kazakhstan -Dog 1 -Ukraine -Russia What I found intriguing, is that Dog 2 is always on the left of Russia and Ukraine is always (except for 5:03) on the right of Russia. This even holds true for the pictures in Russias home. I don't know the meaning behind this though. For the identities of Dog 1 and 2: I'm really terrible at telling apart dog breeds, so if any of you can get that right, reply please. I think that Dog 1 is potentially Belarus, as she was portrayed as very close to Ukraine and Russia, and these countries are at least geographically very close together. Dog 2 kinda looks like a Dachshund, usually used as a symbol for Germany. Germany is a German Shepherd though, so that's a no. What could be possible, is that he is East Germany, but he already exists at 2:22, which is before WW2. At 3:21, I love the detail that Nazi Germany has Rabies. On his right is Japan, and the dog on his left is not in the toystore, but is most probably Italy. So I guess what I'm saying is I really like it, and it must be pretty good if one can get so invested into this. Keep it up! :) Edit: She's been added to the Toyhouse, so yes, Dog 1 is indeed Belarus

The three dogs (Dog 2 and the two unknown dogs that appear once) could be the Baltic countries if height is based upon landmass. Edit: Based upon the appearance of that frame at 2:49, and that this takes place just before Lenin's death in 1924, I think that the three are Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. They could also be the Transcaucasian SSR, the Bukharan SSR, and the Khorezm SSR. They could also be the Transcaucasian SSR, the Turkmen SSR, and the Uzbek SSR. For the first theory, the Ukrainian SSR and Byelorussian SSR were two of the four making up the RSFSR at the time, alongside the Russian SFSR. The other one was the Transcaucasian SSR, which was made up of the three present-day countries of Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan were also occupied by the Red Army during its founding years as well. For the second theory, the first applies, but in this one, the Transcaucasian SSR is one of them, not three. Given the fact we see Dog 2 before the other dogs we don't see again, Dog 2 could be the Transcaucasian SSR. The other two could be Bukharan SSR and Khorezm SSR due to the fact that we see them a bit before Lenin's death in early 1924, the year in which they joined, and the fact that they are never seen again in the video because Bukharan and Khorezm are split up into the Uzbek SSR and Turkmen SSR in 1924. For the third theory, the first and second partially apply. Uzbek SSR is created in 1924 and Turkmen SSR is created in 1929, but before then, it was an Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, and as stated earlier, territory was ceded to them in 1924. These are just my opinion, so take them with a grain of salt. Hope we get some confirmation on this in the future! EDIT: After seeing a lot of dog breeds from the regions that I was thinking of, I could not find one that looked like any of the silhouettes.

Привет, как житель бывшего СССР, скажу, что много различий с реальной историей, по крайней мере по нашим нынешним ученикам. Можете рассказать историю с вашей стороны?
@Omen_CheetahАй бұрын
@@agentcherie6462 I almost completely forgot this comment existed, but hey! Came back to watch the animation again and saw you there. TLDR, most of what I know is self taught from seeking out information, rather than what I was taught in school because my education didn't cover much on Russia. To answer your question in more detail, there isn't a lot of things that I could really delve into, as most of what I know is admittedly rather surface level. However, I do still have an interest in Russian history to this day, and like to think I at least have a better grasp of it than most of my direct peers. During school (I've since graduated) we learned next to nothing about, well, most of the rest of the world really. There's the basics like Columbus, the Roman Empire, the British Empire, the Great Wars. Largely big global historical cornerstones (To us, at least). Though even then it was all still rather basic. When it came to Russian history specifically, it largely boiled down to Russia was in World War 2 and were communist (My teachers didn't even speak about Russia during the First World War, or what happened directly after that.) It often led to a simplified explanation of what the USSR was, which left most thinking it was all *just* Russia. Failing to mention that it was made up of several countries, and many many other details that didn't seem important to the message of "Communism Bad." Further failing to actually teach us what communism even is, let alone any other political ideology like fascism or socialism for example. Point being, at my school at least, they focused more on telling us "Communism is bad" than really anything else about Russia as a nation or it's people. Most of what I actually know was largely in spite of my school, pursuing stories that caught my attention when I had time. Largely from whatever first or second hand accounts I could find, if I could find them. Nothing was censored or anything like that, there just wasn't a lot that I could stumble across and I never really had time to look for more. Sadly I cant say I know more than trivia and scattered facts about this and that, and can actually distinguish between the USSR, Russa, and beyond. Sadly that's significantly more than what many of my peers know. (There have been many, many jokes at my expense. All in good fun though.) What sparked my interest is my mother. She's studied world religions for years, and she befriended quite a few members of the Russian Orthodox faith in her studies, many of whom are immigrants from Russia, and of course I've met many of them. They were always kind, and never quite fit how my public education and media seemed to try and paint them, so naturally I wanted to learn more about them, and the nation they came from. I know enough to be able to actually follow along with the song in the excellent animation ChefGatsby has created, and understand the names, the terminology and even the clothing. It just makes my nerdy brain happy as I said. Though I'm probably not quite the historian my highschool self wished I was.

Pretty hard to understand the country, but ill figure it out soon. Amazing work! I really like it. The whole 60 years of Soviet explained under a song is pretty common but, damn, the characters really attract me. Edit: Some scene where the character being himself, happy and not really serious there also made me feel attracted to your video more, and the background also very interesting. If i can rated it, ill give 10 stars.
