Of course Randy's music is so wonderful, but we tend to forget that he is also an actor. We love Holiday to Remember and Annabell's Wish, but he made a lot of movies, it would be nice if he would make some more Christmas movies. Randy is looking so good, he and Mary are just generous and kind people. Thank you Emmy for interviewing Randy and Mary.

I remember when he was on a couple episodes of the show Matlock... It was awesome... There was even a scene where he was singing along with the radio of a song of HIS, and Matlock's daughter said... You know you are really good singer... your even better than that guy on the radio.... I laughed soo hard it was AWESOME!!!! His reply was "you think so?" LOL :) Loved it!!!!!!!

Nate Eaton, me & my siblings are going through some stuff and it's all gonna be finalized tomorrow. It's not fighting amongst us, it's just a load of stuff that came outta nowhere & was all piled on our disabled brother. My sister & I have been running ,making phone calls & trying to get it all straightened out for a month. Tomorrow we will find out if our efforts did any good. I told my Sister, I KNOW there is a God lesson in this for us all 3. Me, My Sister & my Brother. When Mary said, "All storms are not sent our way to destroy us, some are just sent to clear our path.". That was EXACTLY what I needed to hear right now and tomorrow, me, my sister & my brother will pray and we will DEFINATELY use Mary's wise words! THANK YOU for bringing Emmy and her interviews to US, The General Population! You never know who is hearing exactly what they needed to hear.

Emmy again I learned a lot with this interview today. I have enjoyed Randy Travis’s music for many years and I knew he’d had a stroke but I didn’t know he couldn’t speak. I knew he said very little but I didn’t know how it effected him. You are so kind and patient with him. I could tell they both enjoyed your questions and comments to them both. Great interview, Emmy! I have always loved Randy and his music. He has seemed like a great, genuine guy. I loved getting to meet his lovely wife, Mary. If Mary and Randy read this comment, my husband and I just celebrated our 10th anniversary. Two years into our marriage, I was hit by many neurological and muscular issues and suddenly I was paralyzed on my right side. My husband went from my weekend lover (we lived 2 hrs apart and had careers) to my caregiver. He was not good at it and we should have hired someone to help! I was finally diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I was blessed in that even though the drs were certain it was permanent, eventually I was able to walk again some and after 2 years on a new treatment, I was able to stop using my power chair. God has been good! Much love to Randy and Mary and much love to Emmy! ❤🙏🙏🙏

We recently went to a Randy Travis Tour. It was amazing and we got to hear Randy sing “Amen” at the end of “Forever and Ever”. It was very interesting to watch your interview and get more background on how life is these days for Randy and Mary, and to hear his voice. I worked in my career with many people with aphasia and was surprised to hear Mary say that so many people still don’t know about it! If people don’t understand about strokes then they won’t take steps to be healthy to avoid it as much as possible (Randy had a very unusual infection - a lot of cardiovascular disease can be improved by healthier living.) Thank you for your excellent interview!!

Hi Emmy. OMGosh, I totally loved this interview with Randy and Mary. My husband had a stroke almost 2 years ago, and he is aphasic as well. I am his voice now. Emmy, Thank You for such a wonderful interview with Mr and Mrs Travis. It was thoughtful, and full of information. I meet Randy Travis over 15 years ago in Jacksonville Fl. Wonderful concert, but at the 1hr30min mark he was done!! No anchor or anything after. Come to find out the next day the local news announced he was sick and that was why concert stopped. We loved it though! Again I am going to try some potato chips and ice cream. Stay safe, and looking forward to your next interview..😎😎😎

He is teaching his little girl Emmy how to interview folks by coming up with 7 good questions. She has interviewed hundreds of famous people and it is intriguing to see how much she researches the person before the interview to come up with the perfect questions. She also asks one cross cuttting question thay helps connect all of her interviews. In this interview, she is talking to country singer Randy Travis, who had a stroke. Emmy does a beautiful question weaving questions back and forth between Randy and his wife. Emmy is careful to ask Randy the questions he can speak to, because they have one word answers. Then she asks such amazing questions of Randy’s wife, so Randy is blessed so much by the heartwarming answers. My favorite question was Emmy asking them if they had any advice for Emmy. Mary Travis answered, “Not all storms are sent your way to wipe you out! Some are sent your way to clear your path!” What a profound answer. I hope you enjoy this interview as much as I did.
