Thanks again for this lovely walk which is partly coincident with the Old Way pilgrimage route which we talked about last week. It’s nice to see the scallop shell motif, traditionally used for pilgrimage routes, being used here.

Yes, my mini-pilgrimage, as mentioned. Just a shame the weather wasn't conducive to seeing all 7 churches. Thanks for watching again😉👍

Thank you once again amib. I especially enjoyed this one; I spent many childhood holidays in Eastbourne and grew very fond of the Alfriston/Wilmington/Cuckmere Valley area. Age and infirmity mean I will never see these places again but thanks to your wonderful film I can have a poignant reminder. What a great selection of churches ! Thanks as always

Thanks Gillian. Interesting. Glad I could help take you down Memory Lane. It won't be long before I'm watching these videos as a spectator, rather than a creator, methinks☹️ Let's see🤞 Won't be walking this week, unfortunately. Thanks for watching again😉👍

Gillian, I follow about six really good channels both to help me plan my long distance walks and also for ‘vicarious’ walking, especially in the winter months. There’s nothing better in bad weather than enjoying someone else walking.

What an amazing tree. My nearest amazing tree is Old Knobbley , a much loved 800 year old English Oak Tree growing in Mistley, Essex. With a trunk circumference of about 9.5m and just 4.3m high, Its 800 years old

Some of these old trees are amazing, when left to grow. What kind of mind-set chops one down, like the Sycamore Gap tree?😤 The invasive Oak Processionary moth is a real threat to oaks like yours☹️ Thanks for watching again😉👍
