At the beginning of the war, the Ottoman Empire forced Armenians loyal to the Ottoman Empire to migrate in order to protect them from the war, but as the Armenians continued to attack Turkish villages and committed massacres, relying on the Russians, it naturally turned into a Turkish-Armenian conflict.
