A flail (used for clearing mines, i think it's still used today) is a steel arm, with a spinning axle at the end, mounted to a Tank or heavy construction Equipment. At the axle are chains with weights mounted. So, when you spin the axle up, the chains/weights start hitting the ground. When there is a mine, it blows up, but since the weights are far enough away from the rest of the tank, nothing happens to it and you can just drive straight through a mine field and leave a cleared strip behind you with (at worst) the loss of like 50$ in steel balls and chains

@Liggliluff3 жыл бұрын
(7:50) To be fair, Japanese could be spelt with the Korean/Hangul script quite nicely. Here's an example of Japanese text: 日本国、または日本は、東アジアに位置し、日本列島および南西諸島・伊豆諸島・小笠原諸島などからなる民主制国家。首都は東京都。 Converted to Hiragana: にほんこく、またはにほんこくは、ひがしあじあにいちし、にほんれっとうおよびなんせいしょとう・いずしょとう・おがさわらしょとうなどからなるみんしゅせいこっか。しゅとはとうきょうと。 Converted to syllables: ni-hon-ko-ku, ma-ta-ha ni-hon-ko-ku ha, hi-ga-shi-a-zhi-a ni i-chi shi, ni-hon-ret-to-u o-yo-bi nan-se-i-sho-to-u i-zu-sho-to-u o-ga-sa-wa-ra-sho-to-u na-do ka-ra na-ru min-shu-se-i kok-ka. shu-to ha to-u-kyo-u-to. Converted to Korean/Hangul: 니본고구, 마다바 니본고구 바, 비까지아찌아 니 이치 지, 니본럳도우 오요삐 난서이조도우 이쑤조도우 오까사하라조도우 나또 가라 나루 민주서이 곡가. 주도 바 도우교우도. It's using the following pattern: ㅏ(あ)A • ㅣ(い)I • ㅜ(う)U • ㅓ(え)E • ㅗ(お)O • ㄱ(か)K • ㄲ(が)G • ㄴ(な)N • ㄷ(た)T • ㄸ(だ)D • ㄹ(ら)R • ㅁ(ま)M • ㅅ(さ)S • ㅆ(ざ)Z • ㅈ(し)Sh • ㅉ(じ)Zh • ㅊ(ち)Ch • ㅇ(no initial consonant), where double consonant represents the ゙ making it voiced. Which means it's ㅂ(は)H and ㅃ(ば)B, and the special ㅍ(ぱ)P and finally ㅎ(わ)W. (や)Y is made by doubling the short stroke of the vowel: 아(あ)A to 야(や)Ya, and 가(か)Ka to 갸(きゃ)Kya. っ duplicates the consonant of the next syllable and places it at the end of the previous, so 고가(こか)Koka becomes 곡가(こっか)Kokka. Some might argue that this isn't how the symbols should be pronounced in Korean, and that is correct, but this isn't Korean, but Japanese. A script itself doesn't determine the pronunciation, but the language using the script does. Ç is pronounced /s/ in French and /t͡ʃ/ in Turkish, S is pronounced /s/ in Spanish and /ʃ/ in Hungarian. U is pronounced /u/ in German, /ʌ/ in English, /ʉ/ in Swedish. So I see no problem with ㅎ being /h/ in Korean and /w/ in Japanese. These choices above is to keep the script consistent within Japanese. An argument could be made that は, which always would be 바(ha) in the pattern above, could be re-written as 하(wa) when used as a particle. This could be a good idea as part of a script change, to ensure the spelling better matches the pronunciation.

I wish that the countries in the Americas could unite like the European Union. I know that the United States is basically like the European Union within itself considering how many different states exist, but I really wish that we could unite with Canada, Mexico, and other North, Central, and South American countries politically and economically. I think that together we could lift each other out of poverty and ensure that human rights are respected in every nation.

Only problem is that it would collapse worse than Austria-Hungary, anything below northern México is unstable as hell.

@@athazis1532 That's a really good point. I would hope that uniting with Mexico and nations south of the border would help bring stability to the region, but it's definitely not s guarantee.

5:26 Did you know that the Soviet Union was the only country expelled from the League of Nations?

Why?
@S-Fan20063 жыл бұрын
@@di-riso I think it was because of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact and Soviet attack on Finland.

Hilarious that Germany ball, Talking about depression, almost said "you would too, if you had been through what we have", to Poland ball. Watching it, it was almost as if the Germany ball, suddenly realised who it was talking to and changed the end of the Intended sentence to "defeat taken out of the jaws of history"

I know I'm very late to the party here, but before you revealed the polka's military use. I was internally screaming go watch girls und panzer it's got an epic version.
