I watch Granny's hands and find them so amazing. The movement , the strength and proficiency . The history these hands have seen. The cooking, caring and living they have done. I am humbled. Thank you so much for sharing Grannys gift with us. She makes my world a better place. Namaste.

If you happen to stopby @ any asian grocery stores, try to find jackfruit in syrup. It's made of the rippen jackgruit. The taste is something new but it's good and I'm sure u'll like it. What granny cooked was the unripe jackfruit suitable for this kind of cooking and the taste is also good .
@shayarmstrong54227 жыл бұрын
rindu99 Awesome thanks! We have a international market here in Nashville so they may have it, if not I'll definitely check for the syrup ☺

We have Jackfruit in HEB stores, that i believe are exclusive down here in Texas, although I haven't seen many people buy it lol
@shayarmstrong54227 жыл бұрын
Ashley Leon Yes I know HEB, I'm originally from Houston 😆... I miss Texas but love Tennessee too. I may have seen them at HEB but probably passed them up like the cactus pears, not really knowing how to prepare either... I've ate cactus pears raw in San Antonio but that's about it. The Jack fruit would've eluded me for certain... I'd probably mistaken it for some sort of vegetable because it's green and I'm a silly man LoL, that should probably eat more fruits and veggie rather than red meat...but hey I'm a Texan by birth so... 👁 ❤ 🐂🍤🍗🌮🌯 haha. I'm going to check Whole Foods International here in Nashville, I bet they have it. They sell strange food, like live eels and some wierd 50 lb fruits that are green too... so I'll check and let others know so other ppl in my area can prepare this dish as well. 🙂
