It's nice to hear someone standing up for them. Women have been forever demonized for using their sex appeal. I see nothing wrong with it, especially since they can really play! I don't mean to deny bad history or that there are bad people - this is true anywhere. I can only say what I experienced - the southerners we met were very friendly and considerate. To me this is the importance of seeing things for yourself and not generalizing. Mexicans are often subjected to many negative stereotypes so I think that makes me understand others who are stereotyped as well. Many who think Mexico think crime and drugs and we have those problems. But as you see when there is an earthquake or other crisis, Mexicans come together as humans to help. This was the same with southerners after their hurricanes and floods.
