I'm 68 and I work alone. I'm small but have a few big lawns. Eighter I hire or buy a machine to help me. I dont want to quit. So it's like eating my health foods . I can keep going . Both health foods and a good tools makes life easyier . At 68 . Hire and theres some reason they cant be there alot of the times. My Dad worked with me till he was 80. So I'd like to work till I'm 80 or longer. I enjoy doing my lawncare more then riding my Indain motorcycle. Crazy i know. But I'm selling my Indain to beable to own this blower. So I'll be able to keep my big lawns at 80.

Excellent video, Randy. Thanks for putting this together, walking through the features and calling out your likes and dislikes. Great insights on how to think about how and whether this machine would fit with your business model and your customers’ property types. Ferris should be very pleased with your feedback.

You could also use it too blow snow off sidewalks if you have large commercial properties
@CountrysideStrong4 жыл бұрын
Pretty inefficient for that but yes it would do it
@keithdougherty15845 жыл бұрын
In my situation, that Ferris would only work on about 6 or 7 of my yards. Most of my lawns are 1/2 acre or less. You still have to gather them up by bagging, tarping or with a truck loader. Our county doesnt collect the leaves unless they are in lawn or trash bags. So, it would only work if I could blow them into a woodline or over an embankment.
@CountrysideStrong5 жыл бұрын
I hear that
@keithdougherty15845 жыл бұрын
@@CountrysideStrong To add, I think a much cheaper option would be to buy a Jrco attachment for the ztr and mount a Little Wonder blower on it. It is less power but you can still move a lot of leaves.

Randy, great points. Just a thought, this is (in my opinion) a perfect machine for a company that focuses on commercial work and are responsible to clean parking lots off all year long. Then it would definitely be worth it. But yes 12,5 for a machine used a few months out of the year Simply isn’t worth it! You can get an 18 hp Fradan self propelled for 3 and you have way less storage needed, etc etc. thanks for the video and your ¢.02!

What if this was a machine you found surface lots that could be blown off? like parking lots, storage units, large business you could offer weekly blowing the concrete off to reduce on dirt and rocks.

The Ferris Stand On Blower is a phenomenal machine but for $13,000 just to use it for a month of fall cleanup it's not worth it for a small landscaping lawn care company it's better to use a backpack blower and walk behind blower for fall cleanup unless your a big name commercial landscaping lawn care company then it's worth the investment to buy the Ferris Stand On Blower

I'm having buyers remorse but it's like buying insurance.Or buying health foods . It makes the hardest time of lawncare easyier . Alot easyier. At 30 or 40 I wouldnt need this. I've only used it 1 day now. I love it just not the price or the bill. But it we I'll keep me going. . The stress of leaves are gone now that's worth more then money really.

It can certainly make your life easier if you find a lot more uses for it than just leaves which you better do if you’re going to make the purchase worth it. @@CountrysideStrong Cool! why did you go with Scag over Ferris ? I ask this Because i am looking into buying the Ferris FB3000
@CountrysideStrong Жыл бұрын
The Ferris was a nice machine but the main two reasons are that with the scag i can control the direction of the nozzle anywhere i want it to go which is super helpful. The other is that it is pto driven so i can shut the blower off wherever i want.
