I received my FIRST Fern Ridge fob kit this Christmas from one of my daughters. I’m ok admitting that my dear husband had to help me but oh how beautiful it turned out! It is always so much fun seeing you both, you both are such bright Lites on KZbin. It is fun living in Minnesota, the snow the rain the sun the very kind and friendly people. I have lived here since birth 74 years ago I was born. Hot dish's are a staple here in Minnesota. I too did the Most Wonderful Advent Box, I just wish Teresa would do one next year she said no but maybe something similar. I wash the stiff fabric and then dry it in the dryer, if it is still a bit stiff I put it in with another load to dry, mostly clothing not towels. Congratulations to the winners.

Happy New Year to both of you amazing ladies. I am so looking forward to spending another year with you. I stitched both the Women or Flower and Family of Birds for my granddaughter Chloe in 2022. She has them hanging in her bedroom and this was one of the reasons she wanted to learn to cross stitch. She gets a lot of comments from her friends and has one friend who would like to learn to cross stitch as well. I tried to add a photo of them to this message however I was unable to figure out how to do that. I loved the chart of the Bear & the Birch tree, am going to try and locate that chart as here in Colorado we have Bears and Aspen tress.

Hi Deb and Liz, I have a different needle I have been using for about a month. It is the colonial needle. This needle only comes in bulk but my local stitch shop packages them in packs of 10. The 28 ct is like a petit needle in length and has a small eye. I have also tried the 26 and 24. I think these may become my favorite needle. I thought you might like to give them a try.

Thanks for the video ladies. The needle info is good. My mom stitched some when I was growing up and I always thought her pieces looked so nice. After she passed, I bought all the stuff to stitch this really neat looking Halloween witch. I loved what it was going to look like. It didn’t take long for me to be so disgusted with the whole thing. Why? Because I had no idea that I was using the wrong kind of needle. It was so sharp that it was hard to get it in the “hole” without snagging threads from other stitches. What a mess. Now almost 20 years later thanks to KZbin I know. 😂

OH, I do love your flosstube - except you get me in trouble when I see all of your projects. Or should I say my poor wallet screams "No more patterns !". Thank you so much for explaining the stitching on the mesh bag. Seeing it up close really shows it is not on perforated paper. I use my needle minders for my scissors all the time. I keep one for the needles and one fir my sickies as I use my Lori Holt Bee in my Bonnet stand. My scissors are small.
