Crazy seeing a Porsche Speedster getting whipped around and damaged through this rally. Absolutely incredible footage. And love that they put there helmets on once they got to Monza. And that there is horses, pedestrians, and normal traffic.

Imagine today's WRC entrants taking on not only the varied surfaces of the roads, but also oncoming traffic in Citroen 2CV's and even ox-carts. Rally Buddha would be working overtime. What a sight to see these cars racing up Mont Ventoux, a stiff climb that would be even more notorious in cycling circles.

Excellent film! Was this one of the wide variety of films the BBC used as "trade test transmissions" during the 1960s? I recall a rally film that featured Pat Moss, but I'm not certain it was this one rather than a different year.
