"Love Whisper" is like the prequel to "Fingetip". The lake that Gfriend is dancing on in Love Whisper is actually the source that granted them superpower, then Fingertip was like the civil war between the members after some drama conflict happened in between. The rest of the MVs later on that you ladies going to react will get even more confusing because it will be related to Gfriend's multiverse with different style and different concept. You're right about Eunha is the main character that because she seem to have the most powerful superpower out of six of them, she is able to manipulate time by using her butterfly. She travel back and forth to different timeline trying to saved her friendship with the members and hope to prevent civil war like Fingertip to happen The first three MVs you reacted in part 1, it was about the School Trilogy saga and they were normal humans at that era but Love Whisper was the origin of their supernatural lore

I hope yall could read my comment. Actually Gfriend journey is all related with time travel. Their mv & song literally connected each other since debut. The whole journey is all about their friendship from how they're happy friend turn to bad thing in their relay 😢 they missing each other. Their storyline goes from happiness into darkness. Most mind blowing lore I could ever said in Kpop. They're related with Blue Butterfly, it resemble (Butterfly Effect) for time travel. And almost their mv was categories in certain trilogy. - Glass Bead, Megustas tu, Rough: School Trilogy - Navillera, Fingertip, Love Whisper: Parallel Trilogy - Time for the moon night, Sunrise: Moon & Sun Trilogy - Crossroad, Apple & Mago: 回 Trilogy (The symbol was resemble Labyrinth in mythology (kind of they're trapped in time) 😢 Their lore is more than deep if I could ever wrote all that down. I can't wait for you guys to react to my favorite song of theirs, APPLE. They are very diverse in their vocals, they all have very good vocals, but unfortunately they don't use them much. They only used Yerin's voice more, for example, when Yuju "left" the group, because she got her high note in Time for the Moonnight, she really has one of the best vocals in the group. Another one is Umji, her vocals are also very good, but unfortunately she isn't used much either, but when it was only Eunha, Sinb and Umji (who now form Viviz) left, Umji got Yuju's high notes in the song, showing that they really didn't show her vocals at all. But in my opinion, one of their best eras was Apple, because they give high marks to Yuju, Eunha and Umji, together with a more mature and witchy concept, but one bad point of all this is that they don't have rap in their songs, and if they did, Sowon, Umji and Sinb would be in that position because they both rap very well. In the case of Sinb and Umji, we can see their rap in some of Viviz's songs and they are really good (Umji is the Main Rapper in Viviz and lead in GFRIEND, in GFRIEND Sowon would be the main rapper). Another thing, but also very sad, was that right at the beginning of the group, Umji was already considered the ugliest Idol in the world, just because she didn't fit the Korean standard, when she was younger, she was chubby, chubby cheeks (very cute) but for Koreans she was ugly, because she didn't fit their ridiculous standard 😢

I really love your videos especially the gfriend MVs reaction. If you noticed, the melody at the end of love whisper is the melody of the next song you reacted to which is summer rain. For additional information, the story starts from fingertip until a song called sunrise. The blue butterfly has to do with it. The next era of Gfriend which is Fever, Crossroad, Apple and Mago is when they were under hybe management. The style is slightly different but still has gfriend' s taste and the story actually continues. The blue butterfly finally returns in this comeback (season of memories) after 4 years of parting, clueing that their journey will once again begin. ❤

Eunha was a child actress, so her acting was more natural. The blue butterfly was kind of connecting them from the word Navi (butterfly) since the Navillera era and also the name of Viviz's fandom (Na.V). As far as I can remember, Fingertip was their first single after the school trilogy+Navillera era. I think they tried to find a new direction but was not as successful as the previous work. Love whisper and Summer Rain were the happiness and melancholy side of life and they were connected with the piano play in the end of Love Whisper MV and the beginning and the end of Summer Rain MV I think they cemented their signature sound in the next comebacks.

Queen of choreographies, queens of synchronization, love whisper, one of the hardest choreos in 3rd gen, you just saw all the foot work, many junior girl groups covered gfriend songs in survivals shows and similars (afaik in produce 48 love whisper was avoided by some teams cause it's too difficult to cover). So nice you reacted to love whisper and summer rain together, the end melody of love whisper is the sound of summer rain (a lil spoiler between mv's). It's really nice and interesting that you met VIVIZ Umji, and now you meet baby Gfriend Umji, maknae of the team. The Dreamcatcher reference, there was a time i remember where fans of DC and GFriend named both groups as the light/dark version of the other, I mean DC being "dark gfriend" and Gfriend being "Light Dreamcatcher" in terms of music, choreo and the rock sound tht GFriend always incorporates in their titles. It's so much fun to watch you scream during Fingertip. That's how to enjoy music for sure. Once Gfriend burst onto the kpop scene and attain success, particularly after the downright amazing performance of Rough and Navillera, Fingertip is when they started to experiment beyond their initial Powerful Innocence concept. Fingertip introduced more funk to their music, a more matured styling as well as more fantastical structure to the MV, perhaps looking to attract audience beyond their initial work. The song was received well by western audience but it was perhaps too much too soon for many Korean listeners. Although the track did well but failed to maintain the high level of acceptance as their two previous songs. From this point on, most of Gfriend MVs very much become a puzzle piece for the fans who enjoy dissecting clues and easter eggs that eventually built up for Gfriend's overarching lore. It is rumored that Fingertip plot is inspired by the Greek mythology Orion, where Apollo's (Eunha) jealousy for Orion (Yerin) against Artemis (Eunha) led to Artemis shooting Orion by mistake. It's just a theory but fun to inject into the experience. Given the feedback from Fingertip, it is believed that Gfriend went back to their original concept and came back with "Love Whisper" and maintained Gfriend's image. This comeback was famous for its difficult choreography in water created by one of BTS's choreographer. It is also highlighted in PD48 when all the participants tried to avoid "Love Whisper" because of its challenging choreo and intimidating high belt by Yuju. Gfriend continued its search for new direction with "Summer Rain", a title track probably comes closest to a ballad. You noticed how Eunha seemed to be the character driving the plot line. It is interesting to learn that Eunha also worked as a child actor, and more prepared to take on the role. She is indeed the protagonist in Gfriend's lore as a time traveler attempting to repair conflicts for all the girls to remain friends with each other as told in the end fo Gfriend's Season of Memories. Gfriend's music arrived at another crest with their career as they enter a new era. Look forward to your experience next. Watching Gfriend's dance practice (instead of performance video) is really a special pleasure. Honestly I would suggest you start from the beginning with Glass Bead, Me Gustas Tu and Rough. This period crowned Gfriend the Queen of synchronization and knife-like dancing for their precision and energy. Cheers.

fingertip was ahead of it's time and i can vaguely remember when it first came out purists especially k-buddys didn't really like it for the un-gfriend like sound and concept but for me this song hit so hard it's literally fire!🔥🔥🔥 as time goes by this song have proven itself to be one of their most beloved song and secured itself as one of the gfriend essential song that documents and define yeojachingu's musical journey as a group. it's a testament of how good fingertip really is!❤️❤️❤️ edit: without the release of fingertip, we wouldn't be able to instantly recognize season of memories as one of gfriend's signature song! that's how pivotal and important fingertip has on gfriend's overall sound!

To give some context to Fingertip, they were getting shitting on for only doing "cute concept's" while other girlgroups were being more diverse, so they made fingertip as a way of being "girl power" and were criticized A LOT when it came out and people begged them to go back to their roots (and argued that they should've used Hear the Wind Sing bside from the same album as a title instead /which I recommend A LOT). So what we learned from that experience is that you don't mess with a team that's winning 😅

dreamcatcher debuted after this, i remember people saying they were like "a dark GFriend" and we were like "do you mean GFriend themselves on Fingertip and another one song that also has some dark meaning that I won't spoil it because it's too good?!" but GFriend doesn't only do dark they have a lot of sides and each of comeback shows, also you will see how they have both summer and winter comebacks and how they switch from orchestral passionate melancholy to power innocence always with knife-like choreography because they are very in sync (they literally came up with those two concepts at the time and became really popular)

SO Fingertip has also had quite an interesting journey for that song/comeback. Yes it was different from what Gfriend was doing up until that point and didn't exactly tie in with the storyline they had prior to that comeback or after it. And overall the reception to it was kinda mixed. And I think because it didnt exactly tie in to the rest of Gfriend's music, storyline, and concept, it wasn't really talked about much after they finished promoting it and they also didn't perform it much after 2017. BUT fingertip does come back in to the picture a few years later (you'll see). And when it came back in to discussion, I think fans were more welcoming it of it by this point because the girls have grown and have shifted away from the bright school girl image so the concept switch wasn't as jarring. And honestly it was a good song. I just remember that time where the fans went from barely mentioning Fingertip as one of their songs to everyone talking about it.

Fun fact about Love Whisper & Summer Rain: these two songs are the same genre (New Jack Swing) & have the same chord progression, but Love Whisper is in major key and Summer Rain is in minor key, hence the different atmosphere. And also, the piano melody you heard in the intro & chorus of Summer Rain is actually a sampling of Schumann's famous song cycle "A Poet's love" （specifically the first piece, "In Beautiful May"). So GFRIEND is well ahead of the classical music sampling game in Kpop 😆

when dreamcatcher debuted and caught attention people were calling them "dark gfriend" (before gfriend started tapping into mature concepts themselves) and towards the start of their career dreamcatcher said they were inspired by gfriend, explicitly their powerful dancing, but also their fairytale concepts and sentimentality. fun fact, gfriend even have a song called "dreamcatcher" and if you wanted to, you could even read the lyrics as being about them

Regarding their choreos, it’s actually hard to pick among all those they have because almost all GFRIEND choreographies are really beautiful as they incorporate different types of dance styles. They’re very unique and really worth watching. But I think the top 3 most liked are Rough, Love Whisper, Sunrise. If you want to understand their lore, you should check out A Tale Of Glass Bead, there's two version of it, if you watch that then you will know their storyline and what happen to all of them. Apparently they got their power from a magical lake from love whisper mv, but all of them become jealous with each other super power, that's why they're fighting in fingertip mv. But eunha got a power (3 blue butterfly) to travel though time, so she used her power to turn back time to fix their relationship.

a little fun fact about navillera. eunha confirmed that in the mv, her and yerin's "characters" are a couple, which goes for quite a few of their mvs being a tad fruity if you will. i cannot remember off the top of my head if it was in an interview or during a live but i distinctly remember her mentioning it lol
