about the lore, they are in the REAL WORLD but a strange phenomenon is happening (in the album teasers you can see them too, like in this MV) I think it's due to the arrival of Naevis (or who knows if it's a new villain) to the real world. This is causing the world to become unbalanced and the separation of the REAL WORLD with KWANGYA to disappear. It could be that all those things that are happening are Kwangya's things and they happened to reality

If I remember correctly one of the first lines on 'Girls' is Giselle's: "the metaverse is real". So I actually think Hannah is onto something. Plus, all their side track seem to have this similar concept, especially 'I'm Unhappy'. I'm curious if they decided to leave the hard lore to Naevis debut, which was announced by SM and hinted in 'Welcome to my world' or if they'll do a SMCU episode to clarify. Loved your reaction! I really enjoyed the discussion on the lore in the MV, because in my opinion, the lore/universe is half the fun of aespa's whole concept. I'm definitely feeling the time loop and alternate reality theories, especially considering the track videos as well. Some random lore that I want answered eventually is the significance of certain colours for this comeback, the members are in specific colours in that last ending car scene and there seemed to be specific colour themes in the track videos and the significance of eyes in the music videos/track videos. We've seen many shots of Karina's eye in older MVs, there was her green eye in Salty and Sweet, and the eye puzzle in I'm Unhappy.

I think the main thing and lore of this music video is a strange phenomenon. that is, at the beginning we can see students and aespa girls and then we can see how someone turned on the fire alarm, and everyone began to run away except for the aespa, which means they dgaf about this phenomenon. after which when they dance in the pool we notice that there is no one in the college and they dance while the glitches occur (a strange phenomenon). then I think they had a party at which time seemed to freeze as part of a strange phenomenon, which is interesting that this did not affect the aespa at all ... are they to blame for the strange phenomenon? after we can see them on the street which looks pretty apocalyptic... but again they dgaf, they're just watching movies and dancing, pretty sus... in general, I am waiting for theorists who will completely analyze and explain the lore

I assumed that the glitches were caused by Naevis entering the Real World, which is why Aespa is so unfazed by it. In the "news report" preview trailer, they act like it's no big deal, maybe to conceal the fact that she's there. But I don't know. There's nothing in the MV that really shows that specifically.

The new lore is that now that naevis is in the REAL WORLD, strange events and glitches started to happen in the real world. thats why this song is more "normal" and thats why there are weird glitches in the background and on the sky, etc! and also i think spicy is kinda through the eyes of the aes! just having fun in the world now that there isn't a villain after them! also at the end of the video its looks like there are not human in the world! just them! like the humans glitched out or something

I don't know much about the lore because I haven't watched any of the story videos, but I feel like this "era" will show the girls living in the real world outside of the world where ae lives, considering they already defeated the Black Mamba, there's no conflict there anymore and they can continue their lives as it was before. We've seen glimpses of the "real world" before like with Life's Too Short.

Alright to explain the song along with the teasers they put out, the glitching is happening because it's the aftermath of what happened after the battle with the Black Mamba but for some reason, aespa's pretending the 'strange phenomenon' doesn't exist (there's a teaser where they're being interviewed about all the glitching and the strange objects pouring into the real world and they're acting unfazed by it all), to the point where their in-universe fans are concerned about them throwing a party after a big disaster but the media's saying fans shouldn't worry about them and how they're acting or something. Basically after the fight they're taking a break, we don't know if this is before or after Welcome To My World, it's most likely after, after they're done being sad over Naevis' disappearance. Now for some reason, Naevis disappeared again or they may be hiding her in the real world but we don't know why.

I think you guys are absolutely on point with the metaverse/parallel world theory. The title for the pre-release is Welcome to MY world instead of welcome to real world. I think here MY is capitalized for some reason. Also, in Girls on the bridge, there was a line going "Naevis on the real MY world" , which grammatically makes no sense. If we understood MY world as a place parallel to the REAL WORLD, it explains everything including the strange phenomenon.

Y'all pretty much got it! the overall theme of the album is there being a strange phenomenon happening in the (MY) world (the glitching, the balloon words in the sky seen at the end, things changing physical form as you can see in their album teaser shorts) and everyone is panicking it seems but the girls aren't bothered and are throwing a party. i assumed it's because it has something to do with naevis coming and interfering with the world since she has never been to earth and seems more powerful than other ae? and since aespa know her they aren't as scared. so yea theres definitely lore but it's a bit lighter and more shown in details now that they aren't in kwangya anymore. You guys make interesting points with the different universe thing though so I'm excited to see the next SMCU episode after this and/or how the next comeback title track goes.

🤔 Maybe they used the "bubble text" graphic as a ref to Aespa use of the Bubble app? -which I think is an app created by JYP Nation but that app mimics a message app so it looks like the IDOLs you follow are texting you directly. So when an IDOL makes a "post" it comes in like a private message app that give fans the illusion that they are getting messaged directed from their favorite Idol(s). Then it related back to their lore of how they are communicating with their ae's. I'm thinking maybe SM has some future plan to build out robust METAverse for fan/idol related content w/interactions. I mean there's a lot of development in the tech space with ChatGPT, VR, AR, and "deep fake" tech is really good so there's no telling how SM would build out the virtual space.
