For Winter it seems like her brother got into a car accident and died, the man’s wife was on the phone and Winter was attacking him because he was driving the car that collided with her brother’s car. I think it may be a revenge thing because maybe the guy and his wife weren’t charged or they just got a slap on the wrist. Whether it was an accident or not, it seems like Winter isn’t over it.

For Winter's teaser I missed it the first time. But from the phone call it appears this Man killed her brother in a car accident. And Winter goes and takes revenge.

Winter’s was quite obvious. She was taking revenge on someone who killed her brother. Giselle’s was what took a lot of time understanding it. There was a doppelgänger disguising as Giselle but she doesn’t know. She constantly says “I didn’t seem him yesterday” and “I didn’t say that” because her clone is spreading all the bad rumors about her. That’s why there are shots of the doppelgänger Giselle eavesdropping in dark. The guy said "this isn't you" because he knows how Giselle usually acts, meanwhile Becky said "this isn't you" because all this time she spent it with the doppelgänger.

i think winter's lore is that her brother was killed in a car "accident" by tony and the women on the phone, winter is trying to get revenge (there were car accident scenes put in during the fight scene, close ups on the phone and phone chord, winter staggering in a daze and crying in the shower might indicate relieved but shocked after taking revenge as well as mourning her brother's death)

FYI, for when the slow-mo can't cut it, you can pause and use the < and > keys to go frame by frame. As for Winter's, I agree with the other commenters below that it looks like there was a car accident that affected Winter's brother, she is "the guy's sister" we hear about in the call. He probably died in the crash, and the two people responsible were not punished, at least not according to Winter, the call says "it was an accident, we didn't do it on purpose". So, she takes matters into her own hands, calls the woman we hear and possibly hurls some abuse at her, then uses a sledgehammer to break down Tony's door, there is a struggle, and it looks like she takes the landline phone and uses the cord to strangle Tony, and that is why he never picks up the phone when the call we get to hear actually takes place. Winter is all banged-up after that, and going through it, she laughs out loud, wanders around or out of the apartment, and stares at us. The shower scene might be after all this, I can't tell if her eyes are bruised then or if it's the lighting, and she could be crying over her brother, or over what she's done, or both. I just loved these two, and am very excited to see what Ningning's and Karina's bring, also I do not feel safe whatsoever.

I would also recommend reacting (or even just watching in private) the mood sampler they did. From what i've seen of SM stuff, they spoil the song through MV teasers only but anything labelled as something else like mood sampler will always be unique to that vid.

A rundown to aespa's lore: After they killed Black Mamba in Girls, they threw a party in Spicy to celebrate the victory. They invited everyone (probably all students in the campus) but due to the strange phenomenon, no one came. Then in Better Things, they insisted that they have "better things to do in their time" than to deal with that strange phenomenon as it seems that in their spicy teasers, they were really not bothered with it (Winter even took a selfie with those bouncing balls). In their Better Things sitcom, they said that there's an acting gig for them, they just need to audition. And so in Drama, we have this special video "I am the Drama" as their audition piece or their acting gig. The interesting thing is that the theme for each member is actually an allegory (or allusion I don't know the right term) to their individual powers: Winter's theme is murd3r and ki11ing as she is an armamenter, and Giselle's theme is communicating with someone having a toxic relationship, as she have xenoglossy skills, the power of communication. Update for Karina and Ningning: Karina was a spy and her's is action-themed, quite fitting as she is the rocket puncher, responsible for all the actions in their lore. And Ningning was about breaking with the norms and being yourself. This may relate to her power as an ED hacker in SMCU ep3 where he broke Black Mamba's source of power. Now we know that Black Mamba was born due to the negative things in the internet and media, and thus Ningning's message in the drama was also to break everything, including haters, that just hinders you from being your own true self (hope you get it I suck in explaining). The only thing that we can't connect with their lore (at least up until this point) is 'the Giants'. Is them being a Giant a result from the strange phenomenon? Are they in another dimension? Maybe we can find it out in another SMCU episode. And also don't wonder if the storyline from MY WORLD to Drama were not made into SMCU episodes. SMCU episodes only include the stories that will affect the whole SM lore, all artists included. But for this, they only happen to the aespa's world. Notice that these were only posted in aespa account, and other contents related to SMCU and kwangya was on SMTown account.

As an asian woman, this is how i interpreted what happened during Giselle's acting audition: I believe this scene is in reference to the way Asian women are often viewed by westerners (notice the white man and black woman as judges) as demure and passive, rather than strong. This harmful stereotype not only makes its way into hollywood (notice how few asian folks get leading roles in hollywood movies/shows), but also shows up in the context of heterosexual partnerships where the asian women are often fetishized by western men based on their prejudices that Asian women make good quiet obedient housewives.
