This is definitely a Christmas song I’m gonna listen to EVERY year not even just on Christmas Imma still be bumping this in the summer! XGs vocal line is without comparison, from 7 to 1 the voices can be blended in a way that just is unique to this group. No one does it like XG they are just simply amazing. What girl group on the planet is doing what XG is doing at the level they are doing it? No one. Period. They literally can do anything & everything. Elite rapline, elite vocalists, elite dance crew. This group of 7 young women of XG are IT. This is such old skool R&B 90s/early 2000s perfection. The fade out is from the 80s. The entire world seriously needs to wake up on XG. People sleepwalking on them are really missing out big time. This is currently #1 on the U.S. iTunes R&B chart as it should be.

from what i could read her lips, i'm pretty sure chisa in the beginning shouts "お元気ですか? 私 は 元気 です! (ogenkidesuka? watashi wa genkidesu!) which pretty much means "how are you?/are you doing well?, i am doing fine!" which i think is so sweet considering the teaser where they seem to be looking at loved ones or family who are far away, so it's almost as if she's shouting over to them that she is okay and checking in from afar :,)

The intro scene of Chisa is a homage to the same scene in the Japanese Movie Love Letter. She is shouting "Ogenki desu ka? Watashiwa genki desu!" (How are you?? I am fine!). Now go back, rewatch it with the dialogue and the lyrics of the song in mind. If that doesn't make you tear up, i don't know what will. I sure did. Love #XG Forever. The audio in the Teaser video of them communicating with their families seems to be sound bytes from their pre-debut zoom meeting with their families shown in ‘XTRA XTRA’ EP X∞ during which they were expressing missing their families being on training for years and their axieties about their debut. For sure, their families are so proud of them now.

After researching this MV sounds like 90s and 00s, the popular, JPOP artists like Hikaru Utada (Japanese American singer) with her popular ‘First Love’ song and Namie Amuro (Chisa admired Japanese artist). And this MV also reminds people of the R&B, hip-hop vibes of Destiny Child and Spice Girls in the 80s and 90s. But XG are “Gen-Z” amazing Japanese global pop girl group… brining back that type of 90s and 00s style of music. 🎁

The opening scene where Chisa screams is an homage to the 1995 Japanese film "Love Letter." A woman who lost her fiance in a snowy mountain accident could never forget him. His body was left on the snowy mountain, so she was unable to say goodbye to him. In the final scene of the movie, she goes to the snowy mountain to meet him. So she cried, "How are you? I'm fine." This word is an idiom often used at the beginning of letters. In other words, it was a love letter addressed to him that would never arrive. This word has the meaning of missing you and wanting to see you.
