I can see why the rice dish reminds him of spanish food. It is because it most likely came from PAELHA VALENCIA which came from PAELLA VALENCIA. Yep a spanish dish became popular in portugal. Why not?! Portugual is located right on the iberian peninsula(You know as in SPAIN as well as portugal), it was once ruled by spain, and the culture and foods are similiar with that of spain.

And paella is also popular in ARGENTINA(a country once ruled by SPAIN). And guess which korean family is PART ARGENTINE?! It is the kids of Park Jooho. Whose wife is also PART ARGENTINE. Although she is also part swiss. And on her youtube channel she did make a vegetarian paella(she is vegetarian but not vegan).

Huh? My family always do that, but then again we love food (cooking and eating). My dad always says that eating is an experience, You enjoy the visuals. Take in the smells. The first few bites is to identify the taste, textures and ingredients used. I think its respectful to the one who cooked it, when you take in food that way. You can describe it better and Its more memorable for yourself too. Whenever I cooked for my friends and others, I always observed their reactions based on my dads words and I could easily identify those who love eating and those who love food. 😊
