I just watched a movie called The Ultimate Life. It is good! There was a saying in the movie that goes something like "money is about our dreams but our spouse is our fortune and our children are our legacy." the man spend so much of his life and his families life focused on his dreams.

Hello, So my husband is a Chiropractor and half of our current living area is the office. We have a small living space. We do now have privacy. He takes call at all ours and it makes it hard to take the time off and take trips. patients have his cell number and call him every time we are on the road and trying to take a day off for family time. I look forward to the day when we can walk out of the office and have family time and discuss things not related to work and talk about what needs to happen and what I need his help with. There is no work boundries.. Its driving me crazy. his mom is also a doc and works out of her home. its the same thing. I like that upstairs is work and down is home. I am dreaming when I can have the whole house as home and the office available through its own door. leave the house and walk to the office. We have set hours that our patients follow and the rest is family time. Hubby wants to be available 24/7. I did not know being a doctors wife was not seeing your husband. I know some wives never see them when they are medical docs. Mine is not. I have made friends with some of our Patients. I do enjoy seeing them.

Happy to catch this podcast as my husband just started his own concrete company in Michigan and we just had our first and only child as we also have a blended family. Trying to juggle how to help him on the organizational, paperwork/human resource side of it. I love listening to your advice to others. You both possess such awesome morals and value for your marriage and family. 💞

Great episode and love to see how and when you separate work, family, kids etc.. I was always God, spouse, kids, work then everything came into play afterwards. I know I put work in fourth place but this is a given we all have to work but there are still priorities above it even, but it does make it easier being in control of your own business which I was my own boss as well. If you work for someone else and your child gets sick you don't just leave them you call in and stay home with said kid. Blessings and Love! Sherry

Not only do I have a full time job and work remotely from home my husband is a national touring rock musician. I also handle all his merch sales online and at his shows. His goal is me be able to quit someday so I can help him full time. Lord I wish I could but I carry the benefits and he would have to make a whole lot more for me to quit and give up my 401k contributions my company matches 100% and our benefits. But I would much rather work along side him.
