I love it. Especially because it’s made for living in and not to put on KZbin. I would be so much more relaxed in this rig than in many others.

Thank you for doing a tour of a “homemade” van by people who are so happy, smiling, and approachable. I LOVE that they don’t have the “latest” multi-thousand dollar gear. I’m just starting my own Promaster 3500 and this tour gave my optimism such a boost! Keep up the great work!

Neat couple. I like em! They have got the right idea. And the shower is so clever. It’s basically like the one’s in a pop up camper. It’s really nice. And they have everything they need. I wish them health, happiness and safety on their travels. ❤️💜💚

I just love this shower setup. Most showers really close off the space in vans. Making it feel very tight and claustrophobic. But with a little effort, this setup is ideal to me. What do you guys think?

This may be the best van design I've ever seen. Can you tell me about grey water? Is there a tank below for sink and shower, or does the shower just drain through the floor to the ground?

really nice build out, the roof has me intrigued... any idea if that roof rack DIY? also, I wonder what width of kitchen counter top they're using, it's seems like everyone goes with 24", whereas 22" makes much more sense in this case...

Glad you like the build. The Roof rack is an after market roof rack by AA Products that we purchased from Amazon. The counter top is a standard depth, it is an Ikea butcher block counter top.

I have the same frig in white and wanted to use it in my van build! I'm planning on using what I have. I'm living with my son , DIL, and four grandchildren. I have a room on the main floor with my own full bath. I bought my frig so I can have my coffee and food for breakfast so I can wake up and have my early morning to myself. I have a tiny keruig, electric tea pot, egg maker, toaster, blender and a single burner. I know I want a shower in my van, I like the half shower/bathroom. I love that you kept the build and van at $21,000! How much power does the frig? Do you have enough power to keep it running? Thank you for sharing!

How many miles did your van have on it when you bought it?

Hi folks, we're building also; but you mentioned the heater using kerosene that doesn't smell. Your list links to a diesel however. I like the idea of NO smell; but what brand of heater does this. Help :-)
@OurMidlifeVan3 жыл бұрын
The heater is a diesel heater but you can used odorless kerosene instead of diesel. We purchased the heater on Amazon amzn.to/3vmRUFt the kerosene we purchase at a store front.
@TravisTravels3 жыл бұрын
Hey it does burn diesel or kerosene actually. Here's the link: amzn.to/3rMqiaH

Is the fridge set up on its own battery bank? Doesn't the 120v draw A LOT of electricity? I see all these van conversions and most of them are saying you MUST get a 12v compressor based fridge and they are VERY expensive.
@TravisTravels2 жыл бұрын
I do remember them saying it took a lot of power. But I don’t know the details. You’d have to ask them on their IG.

Is this a 12 Volt Fridge?

$7000 for this build seems strange. Did it cost that - all in ? Obviously without the van purchase as they said.

What's so strange about it?
@fpl-canadagaz3 жыл бұрын
@@TravisTravels - would love a break down. It's a great build and obviously doesn't go in to too much detail on brands etc.....but that's a lot for $7000 k from scratch shell don't you think ? Great video though and I so want it to be true :)
@TravisTravels3 жыл бұрын
@@fpl-canadagaz Well they did all the labor, and materials don't always have to come directly from the major stores like Home Depot or Lowes. I often come across people that get their materials for free. The largest expense they had other than the van was the solar. Diesel heater was only $125, the fridge is about $200. I spent only $1500 or so for my build. There van is 2.5 times bigger than mine. I think it can certainly be done. I've some impressive builds for around $300 with materials just found on the side of the road or in dumpsters. So it can definitely be done. I would reach out to them on IG and ask them. I'm sure they'd be happy to answer your questions.
