dreamcatcher, purple kiss, pixy and pink fantasy are to me the backbones of kpop’s dark concept / rock & metal tones. rolling quartz is a rock girl band worth checking out as well, they’re quite talented and have even covered dreamcatcher’s songs! their drummer is teaching dc’s handong the drums 💕

This is one of the best debuts in the whole kpop industry and their best title track imo and purple kiss is such a talented group they have one of the best rappers vocalists and dancrers in 4th gen i need to restan them asap

Ponzoña means poison in Spanish. Swan, their maknae (member with long dark brown hair, purple dress, body chain, sings in cursive, is a bit more... curvy than usual for an idol), worked on it for a trainee evaluation and it was picked as their debut title track. Members position, listed by age (97-03) Jieun (long black hair, standing in front of the spider wall): Vocalist, oldest Goeun (Purple hair): Main vocalist, lead dancer, unofficially their center Dosie (blonde Bob): Main dancer, vocalist Ireh (long blonde hair with fringe): Main dancer, vocalist Yuki (self explanatory); Main rapper, lead dancer, vocalist Chaein (blonde and brown streaked hair): Main Vocalist, lead dancer, rapper, producer Swan (referenced above): Main vocalist, maknae Random trivia: They tend to change concepts each comeback, but all their music is great imo. All of them are credited as lyricists and/or composers on some of their bsides, 5 of them (all but jieun and ireh) individually by name. Yuki is Japanese but writes almost all her own raps. They do have lore, the 2 most recent comebacks of theirs have had story films which expands on it. They are witches and tbh I think the lore is interesting and not overdone like it can be with other groups. They don't have a leader (which seems to be becoming more common this generation, at least for ggs), though goeun is generally seen as their unofficial leader to fans. Other recommendations if you like DC, PK and Pixy: Gidle (darker/artsy concept), Rolling Quartz (specifically DC with this one), Mamamoo, Bvndit (vocal queens, some members of both groups have deep, husky, unique voices). ✌️ Thanks for checking them out. The purple haired member is Goeun. Yuki is the rapper, the long blonde hair is Ireh, Red w/blonde streak hair is Chaein, Short blonde hair is Dosie, long black hair in long dress with unique voice you mentioned is Swan, and long dark hair in the black shorts is Jieun. Other songs you should check out (in chronological order) for this group are Intro: Crown, Intro: Freaky Perky, Zombie, Zombie (Halloween performance ver), Intro: Illusion, Memem, Pretty Psycho, and Intro: Bye Bye Bully. If you like lore, they made short story films before the Memem comeback and for the upcoming Geekyland comeback on July 25th. The short videos are REALLY well produced. Highly recommend if you enjoy lore.

I would recommend reacting to their title tracks like Zombie and the Halloween version of Zombie, Mememe. But their b-sides are top-tier, they really have no skips, and their intros are insane. Even though this song is their 'official debut', they do have a pre-debut song release called "My Heart Skip A Beat" which I really loved, it even has a bit of rock sound to it! (although at that time, Swan - the maknae - was away from the group, so it was only 6 members in the MV) I saw other commenters giving more groups that you two might like to check out in the future, so I'm gonna mention some of them as well (even if I feel like you already have quite a bunch on your plate for the time being 😄): Rolling Quartz (rock band), BVNDIT, Pink Fantasy

Sorry I am late I have been busy today so I couldn't really watch this until now, but I am SO GLAD that you guys checked them out they really are like if Mamamoo and (G) I-DLE had a baby they are INSANE and yes the Vocals are FANTASTIC! And I know a lot of people will disagree but this might be my favorite Music Video from them because the music and the dance break (by the way y'all need to check out more stuff because there definitely are some Groups who have gone full on Dance break, two examples would be Twice More and More and Red Velvet Zimzalabim, they went OFF) I just loved it so much they really came out with a bang (you guys should check out their pre Debut stuff as well)! Okay at 6:37 I am going to tell you the Members from left to right to help you guys out a little bit: Ireh she is the one with the long blonde hair, she is the Fourth oldest, She is the Main Dancer, and a Vocalist! Swan she is the Youngest with the longer Brown hair and the cute chubby cheeks, She is the Main Vocalist, and the Maknae! Dosie she is the one with the Short Blonde hair, she is the Third oldest, and She is the Main Dancer and a Vocalist! Na Goeun she is the one with the Purple hair, she is the Second oldest, and She is the Main Vocalist and a Lead Dancer! I love your reaction. I'm so happy your taken with one of my ults (Mamamoo is the other). They are having their 3rd comeback on 7/25. There are a set of 3 story films and the intro video that have already dropped. PK always has a short intro song that they do a video for on each of their albums. I hope your moved to go back through their videos there is already a ton of great stuff. All 3 mini albums that they've done are no skip. Yuki writes her raps and all of the members have writing credits. Chaein has written and composed several of their best songs.

Another fun fact: As others have pointed out, Ponzoña is the Spanish word for poison. The group's name, Purple Kiss and the lyric "kiss mark" are both references to a venomous bite. Venomous bites often times result in bruising, hence the purple. The reference to 'kiss' is fairly obvious. Also, as was explained by one of the members in an interview, they chose to use the word 'purple' in their group name because purple is a fairly unique color made up of other colors and it is their goal to give people unique music that is made up of different styles / colors. (obviously not a direct quote, it's been a while).

purple kiss are my most favorite rookies they are soooo good ✨ *ponzoña* is an incredible debut, one of the best ones imo ✨ their 1st cb after ponzoña was *zombie* which shows their cute side but still with some horror elements (like zombie, yeah, btw cya from onewe helped in creating a song and was featured in their mv, onewe is pk's older brothers from the same company, my ults, it's an instrumental band very worth checking out) ✨ then there was *memem* which is experimental but done so well (cuz usually I don't like this much of experiments in the song but memem was good) they also had story films (again featuring cya💙) ✨ AND PK ARE COMING ON 25TH OF JULY WITH *NERDY* the teaser looked sooo good, I'm expecting pk to win smth this time🤧 they also had story films also pk are known as intro queens cuz their intros are incredible, u should check all four of them (intro: crown, intro: freaky purky, intro: illusion, intro: bye bully) subbed for more pk💜
