RIP Flexi lead. They are the best extendable lead though. I had one for 17 years with my cocker spaniel and it's still going strong with my 17 month old male black lab. Gives dogs so much feeling of freedom on walks. Love your blogs.

**PLEASE READ** Please be careful with the extendable lead!!! My partner and I have a black lab and we bought him an extendable lead. We were walking home from a walk one day, had it locked on the shortest it could go, so he was walking next to us. He saw a cat on the other side of the road and got a bit excited, he pulled the slightest bit, the lock BROKE and he ran into the road!! I grabbed the lead to try and stop him, but because of the 'tape' like material it sliced straight through my hand, severing the tendon. I ended up in A&E and was booked in for an operation the next week to reconnect it, where I had to be fully put to sleep (it was terrifying). Anyway, nearly a year later (I did it on August 3rd 2017) and I am still in pain every day, my hand will never fully recover and I will never be able to straighten my little finger again. I'm actually in the process of making a claim against the lead manufacturer, as we'd only had it a few months and the recommended weight was under 50kg and our dog only weighs 25kg! I've read loads of reviews on them since and almost ALL of them are bad. I'm just so glad that he didn't get hit by a car or anything. But unfortunately I am genuinely scarred for life as a result. So please be careful and avoid using it by roads. I hope that if anything my experience can help stop it happening to anyone else! xx P.S. Love all 3 of you! Sorry for the depressing post! Haha xx
