I said the same thing! I wonder how they didn't catch that. Judge Lake would have asked him who was the other person he confused his girlfriend for. When the judges asked him at the end if he would move on and give her the ring, he hesitated and grabbed at his ear, signifying nervousness. My speculation is that he realized his mistake and knows he can't give her a ring he already gave to someone else
