Did you guys have diving licenses to dive? Or do you get training at the time?

There are a few options. It depends what country you come from ultimately. The best thing to do is get a licence in your home country first, but you can get an Indonesian license as well

We visited around mid-day, but it will change everyday depending on the tide. You are best to check when the tide is high during your visit
