I do that too: if there is an everyday thing like a shirt or something that reminds me of a special thing with me and my husband, I tend to hang onto it. He thinks I'm a goofball lol, but I do it anyway.

I am so happy you did the tutorial for the tassel. It was one of my favorite things about the planner cover and I have some old jeans that I have been holding on to for a project. I'm definitely doing the tassel and the pouch! So cute! Regardless of where you got the idea...I love it!
