I never believed the Fusilli theory. The show seemed like every episode was different and no continuity between the episodes. But even assuming there is, it's very easy that Courage used the computer between season 1 and 2 to bring Eustace and Muriel back to life, since he so often went to the computer for help. So by the beginning of season 2 Courage had revived/brought back Eustace and Muriel. If Dilworth wanted Courage to be delusional, you'd think he would've confirmed this theory.
@ashuri5997 жыл бұрын
they aren't revived. we are viewing courage's perspective through his imaginations. meaning, those bodies were already dead but controlled by a puppet and looks alive because of courage's imaginations.
@desertflax48507 жыл бұрын
+ CubedNoob Seasons 2-4 being Courage's imagination is only a fan theory without any evidence or confirmation from the production team to support it. Unless Dilworth or someone who worked on the series confirms this as true, then the show being Courage's imagination is nothing more than a baseless theory. What you state is unsubstantiated.
@almightybogza7 жыл бұрын
raspberry muffin I wouldnt call it baseless.It has more than enough proof.The thing is its one of those theories im which if they dont confirm it we will never know. p.s.Your argmuent that he could find a way to bring them back to life is more baseless than the theory.

While I love a good scary story now and then, I'm gonna go with the more cartoon logical approach. Courage didn't wanna be alone and control the puppets of Muriel and Eustace forever, so he went to Shirley the Medium or some other source of magic/wishes and wished for them to return to normal. The price is Courage's ability to speak, which is probably why we haven't heard him speak in later seasons. After the spell has been casted/the wish is granted, the couple returned to normal, not remembering what happened to them. So they went back to the farm for dinner. But Eustace being Eustace, he gives Courage one last scare for the day. Courage screams like always and they return home.

1) There’s little to no continuity in-between episodes of this show aside from recurring villains, so the ‘Courage is delusional’ theory is thrown out the window. 2) This is the ending we’d get if the show wasn’t renewed for a 2nd season.
@lisettegarcia70133 жыл бұрын
And Shirley wouldn't be able to curse dead people. So Courage just went on the Internet, got the answer by calling Shirley the Medium to help him bring his owners back. Plus, other people in Nowhere and even the Mystery gang would have also gone crazy too if the theory was true.

The 1st episode from the 1st season of kurds the cowardly dog was "the chicken from outer space on"
@zombies4evadude243 жыл бұрын
One thing to note is that in Season 1 Courage talks a lot but in Seasons 2-4 he seems to talk in gibberish more often. Since The Great Fusilli was the season 1 finale of the show, maybe it’s a hint that he got slowly more insane as the show went on to where he couldn’t say coherent sentences and that Seasons 2-4 were all in his head. If this is the case, episodes like The Mask have extra dark implications; that Courage hates himself because he failed to rescue Muriel and Eustace and felt he deserved to be beaten.
@lisettegarcia70133 жыл бұрын
Then how would you explain the crossover between Scooby-doo and Courage the Cowardly Dog? That would mean that everyone even the Mystery gang also went crazy because they interacted with Eustace and Muriel.

how did you say that the other episode of the series after season 1 are just thought on courage mind? im just curious, is there any episode that can explain that?
@allypat30026 жыл бұрын
My theory is that they were either 1) never alive; all the episodes in season 1 were courages attempt at keeping them alive in make believe situations, of course his point of view is overblown because he is a dog. Only the last episode is where he reveals they are dead. What I find interesting with this theory is that the voice we associate with muriel and eustace was portrayed in the ending as being possible voiced by Courage. It does not affect the show since they were already dead from the start. 2) Their house is outside the magnetic field of Earth, prone to strange occurances. These things get blown out of proportion in Courages mind.

Sorry, but the theory’s dumb. The Great Fusilli’s the only episode where Courage fails to save his family (or at least save Muriel) because the show writers weren’t confident the show would get a second season. This was expected to be the ending of the show; no more adventures, hence why Muriel and Eustace could be doomed. Eventually, the show obviously would get more seasons, creating this plot hole in the series. So, how does this ending work canonically? Courage most likely freed his family from the spell sometime between the two seasons. He’s overcome far greater problems, and since many more episodes occur after this episode than before, I doubt most of the series would’ve taken place solely in Courage’s head. It doesn’t really matter though, since we’re just speculating after the fact. All that matters is the actual reason this episode ended so darkly: the writers thought their show wasn’t going to be renewed, so they were free to doom the characters.
