Local volunteer Yevhen Tkachov risks his life in Ukraine's Donetsk region to bring water to frontline communities under attack by Russian forces. He says he supplies drinking water to about 100 residents in Chasiv Yar, a town near the besieged city of Bakhmut.

Who should stop the war? Just checking, because your statement is ambiguous. If russia withdrew all its forces from Ukrainian territory and agreed to permanently cease all hostilities, this war would stop tomorrow. @@1midnightfish well, international law was violated with Crimea annexation at first, the Russian invasion of 2022 is just an additional step. So of course I was referring at withdrawal of foreign forces (so the Russian ones) as needed step to stop conflict. At same time, we need to make sure that UA government commits on making sure that all UA citizens from west to east (Donbass included) can feel safe and at home in their Country, no matter the language they speak. Not an easy task.

The aid Ukraine has been receiving - from numerous countries, not just the US - is accounted for. "they should be getting all their needs met" is a nonsensical statement, since this is not a routine situation and there's no way of establishing exactly who will need what when, especially with russia randomly targeting civilian infrastructure like power and indeed water. My heart fills with emotions when I see Ukrainians help Russians. This guy is a hero. He knows the area is 95% ethnic Russian and STILL he helps !! Guys like him are the best. Both sides should have more of these men. I know that he brings water to the ukrainian minority mostly, but is there a ukrainian family without russian relatives?? Nope. (the same goes the other way to)
