Those who say t he y can't forgive a cheater, how many times have we all cheated on God? Weve been unfaithful over and over but God through His mercy and grace takes us back alk the time. We need to understand the deep love of God and imitate Him..

I had a similar experience but a different outcome. God had me forgive my husband.. pray for his restoration...work on myself...and fight for my marriage for an 10 extra years...taking him back after his betrayal many times..however, he did not ultimately want the same thing..and became abusive and chose to walk away from the Lord, his wife.. 6 children...and the ministry. It is so redeeming for me to see a woman and a couple that have been restored and to know this is the desire of God's heart for all marriages...but it takes 2 people that are willing to surrender to the process of restoration. What a beautiful story of what could have happened for my family too...had my husband chose this path as well. Thank you Shauna for sharing your testimony...I understand the pain..and also rejoice with you for your family and marriage restoration.

There is a reason for everything under the sun. Keep praising God and being happy for others. You have a beautiful soul to actually be happy for others when you did not get the same thing. You are brave and a courageous woman. One day l know people are going to celebrate you, when we celebrate others blessings rub off...

Yes He did, and He still is. But some people have to be careful. It depends on the situation they were/are in. An affair is one thing. But abuse of any kind is a horse of a different feather. Even with affairs you have to be careful at times. Only God knows.

God did exactly the same for me, It is amazing! God taught me the true meaning of love and He taught me how to love my Husband with that Love in Christ but He also revealed to me that my husband did not love me, as the verse in Corinthians exposed that reality. Still I continued to love my husband. . . Now, God did not rescue my marriage but He rescued me and transformed my life forever! God through that season spoke to me and shared His heart, how we hurt Him the same way a spouse hurts us or vise versa. He as well taught me that the Lord does not want sacrifices, He desires our obedience instead. For the Lord Almighty , The Holy Creator of all things to be that intimate to share His heart with me leaves me speechless & in awe! ❤️

I can only imagine how much more beautiful our marriages would be if we used that love filter throughout all of the marriage instead of once it is challenged. It is amazing how she moved through this and now I am wanting to challenge myself more to be like that with my hubby, even though we have a very loving relationship now. This is so very precisely what I'm living right now and so helpful to hear. The word the LORD told me was 'to stand' (stand therefore and not grow weary) 'to wait and see' (HIS SALVATION and my mounting up on wings like an eagle'... My days and even moments to the next moment are exactly the same where I'll feel so much HOPE & then literally come crashing down in shame and even feeling foolish for allowing myself to hope again....but I believe my stance is to get my eyes off of our circumstances and to focus, keeping my eyes on Jesus to be able to walk with/in/by THE SPIRIT! When I do that, it's AMAZING how light and Grace-filled these moments become vs. the weight/burden of carrying or figuring things according to my own doing. I'm really grateful that I saw this THIS very day....I needed to! PRAISE and GLORY to YESHUA!!!

This book changed my life. I cannot speak too highly of it. Shauna helps us see that the most difficult of situations can be used, not to blame, but to see our own blemishes and grow our souls. Love always hopes, always perseveres. It keeps no record of wrongs. Try that filter in seasons of marriage difficulty. It may well be the most difficult thing you’ve ever done. But you will be blessed. God had Shauna go thru this for our benefit. I’m so sorry for her pain, and Micah’s, but grateful. Much love to Shauna and Micah for sharing their difficulties. I hope they are immensely blessed because of it. Respect to them.

I read the comments and most are full of doubt and contradictions. We have to change our thinking God gave us the tools the word (BIBLE) everything we need to endure this life. We have to Change our focus this video is a primary example of Gods power. We say we believe, trust God and can quote scriptures BUT we REALLY Dont we dont have an inmate relationship with God we dont know God like we claim we do Cause if we truly did we would take God at his word stand on it even though we dont see, feel, trace it. We should speak LIFE and not death, unsure, contradiction and etcetera God is unchanging if he said it thats what it is period regardless of our emotional state. God can do ALL things but fail he changes not. Life and death is in the power of our tongue. So if our marriage dont get restore its not because God change his mind its because we are unstable in all our ways and spoke death to the situation. All of my hope and expectation is in GOD therefore restoration will come and has come to my situation NOW in JESUS name keeping my eyes on JESUS during the storm and not the situation/s. No job is too big or too small for GOD NOTHING is impossible This video has been a blessing. God can resurrect anything that we think is dead. Dry bones can live.

Wow! Your story is awesome and encouraging. My husband really dislikes me. He left me with 2 and pregnant with our third along with a new expensive house. It did not matter how much I prayed or how much I showed love. He left again for the 3rd time. It has been 4 years, a few girlfriends have come to him and moved on, he has another child, and refuses to sign the divorce papers (I even agreed to HIS terms). It is frustrating for me because I do love and follow God. I was very serious about my vows to God and my husband. I knew the kind of commitment that I was making. I can't move on in my life and my husband knows that. So, he refuses to sign on purpose as he moves on with his. I am waiting for God to save me from this situation. It has been a long 4 years. This is the worst stress ever in my life. I have NEVER been so emotionally challenged except for my ACL surgery recovery. I thought I would not make it through that. One day God will save me from this! That is my hope.

M Magdalene. I don't believe that if a marriage is not restored it is because we're unstable in all our ways and spoke death to the situation as you put it. As the apostle Paul said in 1 cor 7:15 'If the unbeliever departs, let him depart, a brother or sister is not under bondage in such cases. But God has called us to peace' Paul understood that this can happen and is not a sign of the Christian's lack of faithfulness to God.

I am in a similar situation now and have meditated and adjusted my thinking to 1 Corinthians 13. I have learned to love my mate simply as who he is regardless of what he does just, as God does us. I do not know the end result to our relationship, but by abiding by this scripture that in the past was used in convenience for my own selfish gain, has given me the ultimate peace of mind knowing that he is happy even if it does not benefit me and because of that we rarely argues and are much better friends than ever before. And I am so grateful for that feeling. I just learned a say from the late Nipsey Hussel. He said that "We are not to possess but to experience people that we love".

We will know God as Almighty in every situation, I too had/have to walk this out as well. However, my husband is narcisstic in his lower nature. He does not serve God or others, he says he is saved, I have determined in my heart that he is God's business. I must walk in the Spirit after the Lord 1st, all else is secondary. God is good even when I am in pain, really!

My God. It is not a coincidence that this was the first video on my feed when I opened KZbin to find a song. It’s as if Shauna is me and I am her. I am experiencing a lot of this and my husband is much like how Shauna’s husband was. I too felt God telling me otherwise even though my husband said he checked out and now going into 3 months of separation. I’ve been journaling and working on myself and growing deeper in my relationship with God. I am a church girl but I didn’t really have the relationship like I do now. I’ve been praying for my husband to give his heart and life to God and reconciliation in our marriage but even better than what we had. I am blessed by Shauna’s testimony. I asked God for a sign, some encouragement and He sent me here.

Shauna thank you for sharing such a powerful testimony of God's love working through you to heal your marriage. That step of faith and walking in ! Corinthians 13 must have been one of the greatest challenges of your life. BUT you decided to go the full course GOD's WAY...that's tough, but you counted the cost and moved forward in confidence knowing that the Holy Spirit was there to lead and guide you. Blessings and Grace to you and your family my sister. I pray that God who began a good work in your marriage will continue to see it through to completion....Peace!!

Thank God for His grace... I was also on a church men's retreat for 2 days when I came back to an empty house. Wife and kids all gone and much furniture too. I praise God the messages at that retreat had really prepared me for what was to come. That was October 2016. It has taken me much time to give up to God and although I have not given up hope I want to keep my hands off the situation and let the Lord do the "heavy lifting". God is good, all the time.

I would recommend the book Catching Foxes: A Gospel-Guided Journey to Marriage by John Henderson. He spoke at our church for a marriage conference and explained how our marriage is to be for the Glory of God, not ourselves. We are to live as the image of God for that is what we are. Excellent conference and resource!

Some may say a strong woman is one who leaves . But I see so much strength in the woman who stays and picks up her cross . It is important to note however. Get Gods instruction for YOUR life and situation. I’ve seen so much damage done by Christians who use Gods word to give corporate instruction overlooking that God deals with the individual .

As I said , this is why it’s important to get Gods instruction for YOUR life. If every wife left their husbands when they felt alone I’m afraid we’ll all be single . Marriage isn’t this consistent mountain top experience. The lows DO come . We all love differently and in many cases have to be taught how to love.

I am glad she was able to reconcile with her husband. Perhaps, a generational curse was broken within her family. However, this is not for me. Life is short. I would rather serve God with peace vs. in a state of pain because this level of hurt was inflicted on me. Sometimes people have to deal with their consequences. I get it - God forgives, so we should forgive, but you reap what you sow. There are men and women in the world who respect marriage. Time is up for not valuing what God has so graciously given us.

Ashley Lewis I hear you too, Ashley. After being so emotionally abused on my marriage for 20 years, I was handed divorce papers by my husband. Although it was I who had been abused, I still never wanted a divorce. I wanted our marriage to be healed. I wanted my husband to find God again (he’d lost him yrs and yrs ago and never looked back..). I wanted a HUSBAND. And I wanted the chance to be a real wife. It was not to be though. My husbands heart had hardened SO much, I didn’t even recognize him anymore. If I thought he was emotionally abusive before, wow, he became REALLY abusive & hurtful after filing. I prayed & prayed. All I can take away is that God answered my prayers with the divorce. I don’t know anything else. No, it’s not what I wanted. I just wanted to be relieved of all this pain I was in. God didn’t work in ways to save my marriage. My husband wanted no part of that. I do so strongly believe he has a generational curse following him. His parents divorced when he was in college (we currently have one child in college and one heading there next year), and he was devastated. He went on to marry and divorce his first wife within 4 yrs. Then married me.....and divorced after 20 yrs of marriage. I see a true generational curse and I’m sooooooo worried for my two children.. I pray so HARD for them every day. I was hoping my husband would break that generational curse.....but he chose not to......and so it continues with him. I pray you’ve found the peace your soul so desperately needed. I, too, know that I desperately need that peace. I don’t even think my husband is a believer anymore (was he ever....???) and that shakes me to my core. How can I be in a marriage meant to glorify God if my partner has no desire to glorify Him? Not only that, but has also completely given up on his faith as if it were no big deal. How does one hold a sacred marriage together under those circumstances? Because i don’t think it’s a sacred marriage anymore... Sorry for all the rambling. I have so many thoughts & they all come out so randomly. I do hope & pray you’re more peaceful these days. I still have soooooo much healing to do once this process is finally over. Healing hasn’t even begun yet. It hasn’t had the chance. I feel I’ll be spending the rest of my natural life healing from this. Did I mention I’m 58 yrs old..???? Certainly hasn’t made anything easier... I value and am sooooo grateful for everything that God has so graciously given us/me. Somehow, for whatever reason, my husband did not. That was a big problem. Like Shauna, I’ve prayed that his heart would turn to God once again....but it hasn’t. That’s been heartbreaking for me. But I guess God is showing me that it’s time for me to move on now, painful as it is..... God bless you!

Kimberly, I am with you, I know how hard it is, but God is near to those with broken hearts... I actually converted just after marrying and getting pregnant and it was 10 yrs ago.. I was raised in a traditional catholic family in Poland, and none of my closest relatives was divorced...My choices and dreams led me to marry a mexican and live in another part of the globe with him, which actually resulted a nightmare . I was pretty much lonely and emotionally abused with no one to turn to - my family and friends were so far away...It was then that I grabbed New Testament and started looking for answers..and I started to pray...I began to change and accepted Jesus as my Savior...And finally after 2 yrs God brought to Mexico City a guy Polish guy from Chicago :) He was trying to make business contacts there, but right after our first meeting it resulted that he was born-again and eventually he babtised me. Soon my marriage started to get even worse, which made me ask God fervently if he really wanted me to stay with my husband because I couldn´t take it any more, but if God told me to stay I would stay and after that a cuple of days later my husband declared that he didn´t want to be with me any more and it led to 2,5yrs separation which I spent in Poland with my family and attending to small pentecostal church and growing spiritually. I didn´t accept the idea of divorce whatsoever and I prayed for my marriage restoration during that period. He would visit me and my child a couple of times and it seemed that he still loved me but I was expecting from him his move to Poland, because I was then afraid to be once again the victim so far away from my place of security. I thought the pain was over when he asked me to come back and move to another, smaller city, so I did it, because I felt peace in my heart and I was already stronger. Nevertheless after my return to Mexico once again he started to be harsh and threatening with divorce after a couple of weeks and after a couple of months I discovered traces of infidelity which totally broke my heart into pieces because I knew that I was doing everything in my strenght to keep our marriage while he was aready looking to contact other women. I guess the reason of it was because the light and the dark cannot coexist, which is why I stick to 1Corintians 7:15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.16 For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?... I eventually came back to Poland with my child and there was a rainbow welcoming us, a sign from my loving Father... I had a rebel phase, which probably helped me forget about my ex, but God is good and in the midst of the dark valley He told me through by His prophets, that I will be happy some day with someone else and I should do what I have to an God would be with me. Well I have come a long curly way , right now I am free divorcee and I know Good Father loves me and I have his Promise in my mind whenever there is a challenge in my life. Sometimes something that looks terrible is the only way to make us grow and understand the real character of Our Lord which makes us Love Him more and have the love and understanding for other people. I send you lots of Love and Blessings, keep looking for the right answer, don´t give up, because we can be blessing for many others... Kasia
