I hosted a minecraft speedrun tournament in celebration of beating minecraft 3,000 timess, and they had to play without resetting, this is how it went, enjoy!

watching them side-by-side like this is a great eye opener. like how the RNG affects every run even at the start, even a dolphin spawn helps a heck ton and not to forget that all this runners makes split second decisions that makes this even more exciting. what a fun Event, thanks Couri!♥

I went with the runners i did because of consistency in tournaments and in mcsr ranked, nofear has proven to be inconsistent and zylenox is amazing but had just gotten back from a month away on vacation, so was a bit rusty

If they had kept the point system he would have won this instantly. Going by number of wins makes it more even but also more luck-based. Feinberg tested dying at that spot and it's like 1 item that falls into lava. Really bad luck that this item was the obsidian he needed.

can someone explain what ground zero is? Is it like the bed does a lot more damage? Is the dragon supposed to get nuked?

ground zero is just a way to kill the dragon before it perches (zero cycle) and at the ground level. it's a fast alternative if a traditional zero cycle is too risky to go for (pearling up to a node and killing the dragon there)
