While I can appreciate his enthusiasm, his tone is a bit too "high-energy" for this poem IMO.

I have to admit, I read this poem due to the Iron Maiden song also. However, I have used your channel for understanding what I read in the Iliad too, keep up the good work. Your content is excellent.

That was a great analysis of cool words just poem! I remember my senior year in high school writing and analysis paper about what the wedding guest could have learned from the Mariners tale. Although I went in depth with details, there is some details that you highlighted on that I did not see. Good thing though, I still got an a+ on my grade on this paper! This poem truly does have a metaphorical meaning on life. If you have a hidden desire that guides you to positive places, but you kill your dreams, you are the living dead! Something that many of us need to hear!

Help! At .50secs the video suggests Rime is an old spelling of Rhyme. At 1 min it says Rime can also mean 'frost,' an icy substance that can form on sails and ships. Is anyone knowledgeable enough to know which 'Rime' Coleridge was suggesting????

I'm not sure teaching a lit class as if you're dubbing a cartoon character is the best idea. I can't focus on the content, his tone of voice is too distracting.
@graysonmichael9696 Жыл бұрын
Informative and very helpful for a close reading assignment for school. But please, for the love of God, tone down the enthusiasm in your presentation. You can deliver the same information without the almost cartoonish level of expression. This an analysis of romantic era poetry, not a children's television show.
