I agree..out of all these murderous stooges..i believe Luis. I liked when he said he never wanted to unalive anyone..and esp infront of kids. He just wanted to rob Wendi..and be done with it..i remember him saying..if anything else happened after they got stopped by the cops..they were turning around & coming home..if onlyyyy..

@@alidadebruyn36Wow somehow Luis Rivera is the protagonist to you & you TRUST a career criminal who has a history of robbing people as a “lovable.” The one who very likely blew Dan Markel’s head wide open & made him suffer for 14 hours! Yet he points the finger at Sigfredo for everything… for bringing the gun, for shooting Dan, & for renting the car. Yet the car is rented under his name “Luis Rivera” on the agreement sheet. According to Luis himself, Sigfredo paid him $35,000 just to drive… and you’re foolish enough to believe that??? Also Luis in his 1st story to investigators said he provided the gun. Then in his sworn statement he changed it to there are 2 guns: Sigfredo provided the gun that killed Dan, and Luis simply brought his own gun in case his friend tried to shoot him after he killed Dan. Luis Rivera is a proven repetitive liar, and you really TRUST him. Only because you heard his story smh
@ladybug947Ай бұрын
Facts, it really says something about the character of the other defendants when the most trustworthy witness is someone w gang ties who went along for a ride w a hitman but he definitely IS by far the most honest of them all - he also has the most conscience he initially told Garcia there was no way he could kill Markel, the most he said was they could rob “the lady” Donna and he refused to kill Markel when Garcia tried to put him up to it. Rivera said F that, kill some guy I don’t even know I have nothing against him, F that let’s just rob the lady instead. I wish so had Garcia had listened to him

Thanks Judy....nice to see the back ground of what goes on..when a hitman decides to flip & tell the State the whole story..it's too bad Katie didn't have the brains to do that..she was offered not one..but two deals & turned them down..ugh their poor kids. But i believe there are sadly 8 children in this one murder for hire..who lost at least one parent..and 2 kids who lost both(Katie & Sigfredos)...We need more Justice for Dan..and most of all..WENDI behind bars...yesterday!!🙏🙏

So I've wanted to say this for such a long time but the hate and anger that comes from people when you go against the grain. Defense attorneys are (human's) doing a job just like the rest of the planet. some pick their clients others are chosen. They have chosen the noble job of doing what exactly our forefather President John Adams, one of the designers and signers of the declaration of independence, whose dedication to the principles of liberty, democracy, and self-governance are the among the cornerstones of our democracy, demanded of our government, fair treatment of the accused. He was quoted as saying, I would rather see one thousand guilty men walk free than to condemn one innocent man to death. I weep at the courage of our forefathers for what they sacrificed for us. Defense attorneys, you have my thanks and respect for the courage to stand against the anger and hate when your client is judged before even walking into a courtroom. Thank you, Judy, for being among the very very few people to have the dam courage to have even one on your show. Let them share their thoughts and views. THANK YOU. You stand among the very few.

Sure, people who practice criminal defense serve an important role in our judicial system. I interned for 2 public defender's offices when I was in law school and worked for a firm that did a lot of criminal defense. There have been a handful of criminal defense attorneys who have been on in past livestream shows-- although people mostly watch if they're discussing the Dan Markel case.

Great interview, Judy!! 👍🏾 And good timing for me! I have just replayed all the crosses of Luis Rivera. Somehow i had missed the the first two.wow, at the first trial, he was really grilled. ( Even the judge started objecting!) Then in the second trial, Chris LaCoste asked Luis if Katie had called Sigfriedo after the murder. When Luis said yes, LaCoste asked him "Would you be surprised that theres no record of that call?" ( In a snarky way.) Then Luis said, "Would you be surprised that they had burner phones?!" Lol I almost spit out my coke! Had never heard Luis be sarcastic like that! I also learned, in the first trial, that Luis has bipolar disease and also is schizophrenic. Now i feel some sympathy for him, as an untreated mentally ill person. Anyway, i really liked your interview and learning more about Luis. 💕
