You don’t “think” when this happens. You have a natural fight or flight response, he panicked, saw a small opportunity for escape, and tried to get one last breath of freedom before he knew he would be arrested. He doesn’t deserve an ESCAPE charge if he didn’t escape. At most he should be charged with attempted escape but we know how this country it

She said "so you condone that," after explaining the excessive force. That demonstrates that she just wanted the judge to acknowledge that she was trying to help and the officer used excessive force against her. The only thing is, she shouldn't have even tried because to the officers she's just in the way of their goal, which is to make sure the man gets stopped and doesn't hurt anyone in the process. However, I do think that pulling someone by the hair instead of moving her by her arm or moving her body shouldn't be the go to strategy.

Amazing. Another judge who lets their emotions get in the way of other people’s future. Yes, people make mistakes and get into trouble, but so many judges let their daily lives effect their decisions at work and further ruin a life instead of attempting to rehabilitate people. The system in America is a joke. 5 years is a long, hard sentence, but judges and jurors believe 5 years is nothing when they sentence a young man. During those 5 years, people change, and rarely for the better due to this system.

@@fortepiano4491 I saw no video evidence of that. I heard no complaints of that,either. I heard her complaints of " he has no rights to put his hands on me. ....and he pulled my hair". I'm unsure of what makes people think that officers in the process of pursuing a fleeing criminal have to justify why they went " hands on" with someone in the way. They don't. They work there...she doesn't.It's their job to stop a fracas and sort things out later....not during the escape attempt.🤷♀️ She's an angry person who thinks wrongly here. Yes, the judge noted her attempt to mitigate the escape. But when she didn't hear what she wanted to hear, she again became petulant and disrespected the Court by trying to walk out before being excused. SHE ....requested to speak with the judge. He didn't have to grant it, but once you're in his courtroom HE is in charge. YOU asked to go before him...He didn't invite her on his own. The conversation should be respectful and ends when HE says it does.....which she ignored because she didn't get her way. She inserted herself into the situation and didn't like the outcome is all. She's laboring under misconceptions that she's s been " wronged" somehow. Even after he thanked her she disrespected him. I'm always amazed that people just think that anything goes in a courtroom. In the very least, she's lucky she didn't get fined.

This judge allowed the girlfriend to have her say when others wouldn't most likely even give her the time of day. Compassionate? Since when was it okay for another human to think they’re above others? Oh she stated how she felt? She’s lucky? Nah bro people shouldn’t have the right to lock someone up or charge them for speaking their mind. Regardless of what the situation is.

You’re in a court of law.. not just any situation. It is very rare that anyone can be disrespectful to a judge and get away with it. She should feel lucky

in the 80's my Dad, living in Tucson, was on a jury in a case involving some bad illegal Mexican. The trial concluded, the bad guy was sentenced. He was able to hop over a gate, then sprint out of the courtroom & was never seen again.

1-5 years for the attempted escape.
@stevenfitzgibbon11474 жыл бұрын
I was getting transferred once and this crazy dude tried to run when we were outside.....but clearly in the confides of the county jail. Poor guy was scared and basically got an attempted escape charge tacked on.....in court his original sentence was 6 months he prolly would have served 3 or 4 and with that mistake he most likely added at least a 2 piece to his sentence. Again poor guy was just scared which is understandable

This is why you should have a box where you put them into with screens you can talk through, because we have them in the UK to stop people escaping the court room

I think an apology on the deputy’s part and understanding the gf was trying to help after the judge acknowledged her attempt at stopping the escape would have calmed her. Humility isn’t hard. Everyone was moving fast. They don’t know who side she on if they can’t see the whole picture. But the judge was on the outside looking in. Based on his what he said happened, the deputy could have apologized.

DONT label me part of your party doing right by court doesn’t make you a victim. She was in the way and needed to get out of the way, so he was trying to get her out of the way. When a third party tries to break up a fight they usually get hurt and that is what happened here.
@johnwick42574 жыл бұрын
