Many Ugandans won't listen to this. That's what pains me.

My heart is literally bleeding for the citizens of the land of my forefathers. Judicial independence in Uganda is highly questioned in the wake of the decision by the Supreme Court. The decision has simply elevated a subordinate court to the level of the Supreme Court itself. This to me is a paradox because the players in the court martial sounded to possess very minimal understanding of the law as they only made references to the Updf Act and not a single reference from the constitution. To them, the act is the supreme law of the land and any other law including the constitution that is inconsistent with it is void to the extent of the consistency. This is engaging a reverse gear in the process of constitutionalism

The late muzeyi Tamale Mirundi senior use to call it natural intellect. Aperson like this one to go in this tribunal to argue the law before the General who have never been in class of law, there is no law to be argued in the court martial period.
