as a vocalist i gotta say, he did a hell of a good job with a bad voice (tired or sick idk) he's a pro

i agree ! and with a dry dynamic mic with no compression or reverb, u can see he is yelling at the thing to match the desired volume, really impressive !

I know he was having some health problems around the time this was recorded. He had some sort of degenerative disc disease in his back. He actually passed out and fell down the stairs and ended up in a wheel chair for a while. Long story short he somehow overcame the disease without too much damage, but i can imagine that would weaken the body a lot and make it difficult to perform extreme vocals. He probably shouldn't have even been touring. He's taken some time off and hopefully when tfk comes back he'll be in better shape.

@thepierre3967 жыл бұрын
it's not he refuse, courtesy call has unfortunately a lot of effects on his voice, but when he sing it he sing it like this

Brandon Cline He just likes to party and make the crowd really shake instead of just singing the song when he's live

This is why they aren’t as big as they should be. You need to be able to sing like how your songs sound
@aladdin47155 жыл бұрын
he sounds so different from untravelled roads, i guess he lip synced there with prerecorded vocals + he can't even sing 3 words without sounding out of breath
@DaJimmy4 жыл бұрын
Why he's singing so bad? Is it because of age factor or why?
@DaJimmy4 жыл бұрын
@Jar Jar I see. Thx for the info.

Courtesy call strains the voice a lot when it is sung in the style of the album, and its damn tiring. That's why he's not singing it in the album version.

He didn't sing badly just differently. Trevor's heart, passion and intentions are still behind this performance and his music 💯%. Listen to James Hetfield from Metallica. When a singer has been screaming for years, their voices change and get strained. I am thankful he can still sing. It's a part of life. You have to adjust how you sing, but the heart is still behind the music💯%.
