Some different variations with other neon colors would be cool. The tree frog would be great too. Y'all definitely need to get some of the 8mm glass eyes and set/cure them in the mold with a little UV resin. You will love how realistic it makes them look. Fantastic video you two, no three. The frogs are beautiful. The translucent ones on the light look stunning. The color toes are so amazing. The last one with the glitter OMG when the sun hit it. Just WOW. As for glass, we used to put clear marbles in a pot of boiling water. Bring it to a rolling boil, then quickly pulled them out and put them in ice water. We did get a few broken ones, but the ones that stayed whole were crackled. You might try that. Good luck. Keep us informed about it. It's brought back memories.

May I recommend that you break a Ruperts drop just after you pour a blank. Break a Rurperts drop as the resin is curing. Break a third drop after you set one in resin and let the resin fully cure. Leave a little of its tail hanging out of the resin on the last one.

If you blow on your molds with compressed air it will help seperate your molds. Buddy uses it for gun parts he casts and he just blows around the seams where the mold meets the part. Amazing job on your frogs!! Put suction cups on the feet so a buyer could stick them to their window and let the sun show off the colors??

Many years ago I observed some glass blowers on Okinawa that did some cracking patterns in their work. They used air temperature water and the glass was still very hot. Almost glowing. They dipped the hot glass in the water quickly. If you try doing some Prince Rupert's drops in a casting, try exploding them in the resin when it is just about cured to catch the fractured glass in the middle of the explosion.

Great video Nicole and Ben!... I used to fry marbles on the stove in a pan , took the pot off the heat and add cool water to it and the marbles would crackle, I used them in jewelry. Maybe something along that line would work for Courtney to crackle her wine glasses...worth a try🙂

I love how the two toned frogs are coming out. Tough trying to pick out a favorite. With the glass fracturing, I know when doing marbles, you bake them in an oven to get a very even heating. Don't know if that will work for the glasses too or not. Keep up the great work.

Hey Ben, you should try some of the florescent powders from Cultural Hustle. they are some of the brightest glowing powders I have found and they last for hours. I have used them in resin and they do work. They also come in a variety of colors, white, blue, green, and pink. What is nice is you do not need a black light for them to work, regular light will do it or even heat.

I would like to see you guys use that florescent green with some black in the skulls 💀💀💀, and I think that dragon skin stuff you had in the last frog 🐸 would also look awesome in the skulls 💀💀💀 with some of that florescent green. They would have that radioactive look to them. That's a cool idea Courtney has with the glasses, l would still be a little leary about drinking out of them myself, with my luck it would break when I took a drink and cut my lips all up or leak all over myself. LOL😂😂😂. But they would look really cool I think if you guys can get them down pat. As for the Ruppert's Drop I was quite impressed to so you get one out of two to work, I have watched a lot of people make many before one actually forms without shattering. Very cool. And it would be cool to see what it looks like in resin when you snap the tail. Super Cool Idea. 💡👍👍👍
@thereseneedham2130Ай бұрын
Wow those confetti frogs turned out great. Miss five saw the flash back and when "whoa he's got a lot of noodles on him". The drop looks like it would make a great rain drop just about to hit a puddle or the bloop back up after hitting with ripples around, that would make a cool egg. I f you made a mould from it could you pour more molten glass in and get another drop and would it have the same breaking properties as a real drop?

Ohhh n if u have like a translucent black then do neon pink toes on frogs or opaque black with neon pink or purple

Do you think you could find magnets strong enough to hold the frogs on a vertical surface? I know they’re probably good paperweights, but they might be neat refrigerator magnets, too. They all look cool, and the green translucent one almost looks like it’s been irradiated when you put it on the light. I love the bright green toes. Have you considered using other neon colors for the toes? I’m a big fan of hot pink, and fluorescent orange would look cool, too. They might be interesting on a color shifting black or sparkly dark colored frog. OOH, what about neon toes and wings on a fragon? I would love to see matching bright toes and wings on a black or color shifting frog for a fragon.

With the glass fracture. Do you have a temp gage you use with your resin. Maybe some more research or testing on the temp the glass needs to be then use the temp gage. The bear tray is awesome. An idea though do you do custom orders if so then make the bears different colors for each child and put letters MOM, MEMAW or whats needed. Keep up the awesome work really like the content. 👽

rotocast the interior of the glasses with fast cast resin, you might need to do this several times, then do the heat with a blow torch on the thicker area at the bottom put on a ceramic tile then drop the tile with the glass into the ice cold water pull it out, then let it air dry, the dip into fast cast resin roto cast that. I would be tempted to put the glass super heated into ice cold resin.

My friends and Nephew about 2 hours north might get strong cat 4 winds and effects. But I have invited the to travel to my house if they need to evacuate. Just another hurricane here in Florida.
