Hi Russell. This is a really great Courtney reaction. The way I would sum up a lot of what you said is to say that Courtney is truly 'the voice of a lifetime'. She is completely unique in her sound and style and is simply unmatched in her level of talent. Even more unbelievable was that she was just 14 when she recorded this. Even more, you are just scratching the service as to the vocal versatility that she has. Up to this point, you've only heard the uptempo rock side of Courtney, but she is equally exquisite across so many genres including R&B, Funk, Soul and Ballads. She can move seamlessly between genres, often within the same song, without a bit of a loss to the incredible quality of her music. To hear Courtney sing a ballad is to hear one of the most beautiful voices in all of music, although you can always count on Courtney to add a bit of her signature grit. On top of the sensational vocals, her performing skills are incredible and she can dominate a full stage like no other. She is a true stage beast, in the very best sense of the word. She is also an incredible guitarist and a real powerhouse as a song writer. On top of all that is her unparalleled creativity. As you see here, she took a massively popular Country/Hip Hop song, completely dismantled it and re-invented it as a rock anthem. The best part of it is that she does that with every song she covers and always comes up with a rendition that most of us believe leaves the original in the dust. When Courtney first heard this song, she said she envisioned a completely different way this song could be sung and was she right. Any one of the Courtney's many individual talents would make her a star, but put them together into one package and Courtney has the level of talent and skill that the music world hasn't seen in decades. I've put several recommendations below for future reactions. I thinks it's time for you to hear COurtney sing a ballad, so the first two are ballads from the same session 'Old Town Road' was from. The remaining two are two of her performances from AGT so you can see how she can dominate a full stage. With all the Covid lock downs of the last couple of years, it's been a while since Courtney has been able to go into full concert mode: Courtney Hadwin - Sign of the Times: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rmqzmZxsjteaaM0 Courtney Hadwin - Someone You Loved: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4OchquZqM-Iia8 Courtney Hadwin - AGT QF - Papa's Got a Brand New Bag: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mWjXhmSZbdujjJo Courtney Hadwin - AGT Finals: River Deep, Mountain High: kzbin.info/www/bejne/noiko6GYr6-oprc

Do you think there is a reluctance in the current music industry to release material like this nowadays, they almost seem afraid of proper talent. It's almost we must go along with what they deemed good music rather than what we know is good music and what WE want to hear

You’re right. This was truly EPIC. Just think Courtney was only 14 when she reimagined this song this way. Her vocals are truly phenomenal and unparalleled. So glad you have found her to react to and for your own enjoyment. And it’s very evident how much you enjoy her and are blown away. Thanks for this. Next time would you react to “Sign of the Times”? It’s a different side of Courtney but no less amazing and mesmerizing. Thanks again kzbin.info/www/bejne/rmqzmZxsjteaaM0

I don't mind the blur at all, you gotta do what you gotta do. I'm just glad that you can appreciate the material that she produces. Hopefully it gets more people interested in seeing the original video, and what an artist she really is.

Russell good job ! Glad to see you so excited and mesmerized by Courtney's awesome talent. That's the way we've felt for several years since that audition on AGT 2018. The whole world needs to experience this amazing artist. Hopefully her album will be released soon. MORE COURTNEY HADWIN PLEASE !

I've subscribed, Russell, because you really get Courtney, here at 14, but now 17. You have repeatedly described how unique she is, that there is no voice, no performer like her. That sounds like excessive hyperbole, but it is just factual. I have seen the greats from the 60's on, many live, some on video; she is already in their ballpark. I've also viewed most of the young KZbin talent and NONE is like Courtney. She is so good she even has some haters who can't handle her--greatness begets hateness! She is still somewhat under the radar as she has done very few professionally mediated performances since 2018; even so, she has garnered over 2 billion worldwide views. She was invited to Woodstock50, which canceled because of finances. A big European festival was canceled due to the pandemic, which has greatly restricted Courtney. To my knowledge, Courtney has never had a true, full, professonal show--imagine Courtney doing 2 hours of songs back to back like Old Town Road; I don't know if you could make it through, Russell! We can only hope 2022 is the year she drops her album and begins epic performances!

Hi RFR! Thank you for reacting to Courtney's OLD TOWN ROAD! Agreed that she turned this song upside down on its head and completely made it her own. 🔥💯 So far, you've reacted to 2 of the 4 songs, SUCKER and OLD TOWN ROAD, from her "Cover Sessions" album she recorded and released in 2019. The recordings of all 4-songs were completed when she was still ONLY 14-years old! 😱 The last 2-songs in that album, "SIGN OF THE TIMES" and "SOMEONE YOU LOVED", both BEAUTIFUL ballads, can be found at this link (including the 2-songs to which you already reacted) - kzbin.info/door/J0UIOws33p5zRE6Eul3rlw THANK YOU!!!! 🙏 Btw, if you're interested in downloading this "OLD TIME ROAD" cover, or any of those 4-songs in her "Cover Sessions" album, you can find them in all music services (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, etc.). Here is the link to those 4-songs, in her Spotify account - open.spotify.com/album/2pCHpb0zNEa88aCYcm9ZRI ENJOY!!! 🎵

One sure thing about Courtney she can sing other people's song and put a standby I don't think anybody can sing any of her originals and put a stamp on them and I don't believe there's anybody ever be born that can yes she sounds like Janis Joplin and a few other singers but she's a step ahead of them all and she can also sound like Mick Jagger and whoever she wants she got a very rangible voice that I've never heard before thanks man
@donleinfelder71722 жыл бұрын
I love how you said it's not her song I believe it is her song it's your song her track she made hers and in the end of your video I believe you agreed with that so there was no other old Town road in my mind and your Courtney did old Town road she didn't the way it was supposed to be done agree thanks man later
