@JohnSmith-vb6jx4 жыл бұрын
@@edwarddevogelear4432 She did. It was good but not up to the standard of the studio covers. And it was a little too "growly" in my opinion, not as much range as she is capable of. The lead guitar and percussion bring a lot more depth too, IMHO. Edit: Just went back and listened to it again. I like it more now than when I first watched it. She had some higher notes but I think it was the arrangement that put me a little off balance. We're so used to the way TT does it. She did an excellent job for a home spun version but I still think the studio setup and musicians would bring more to it. I will say that I hadn't noticed the first time how good she is doing with the finger picking. I have said before she needs to move beyond the light strumming and try some finger picking, or at least develop the discipline to stop dropping the hard pick inside the acoustic guitar hole. I remember she complained about that a while back. Actually she incorporated a few different changes in her picking and strumming on this song. She continues to improve her versatility, great for her.

@edwarddevogelear44324 жыл бұрын
John Smith Actually, the fact that Courtney slowed down the pace a little, almost turning the first part of ‘What’s Love Got To With It’ into a ballad is what made it so spectacular. Courtney is so creative that she will never mimic anyone. She only does covers when she has a new take on a song. Why do a cover that sounds like the TT original, when you can just go and listen to the original. I thought the changes Courtney made to make it her own were brilliant.

Courtney, I am 70 and feel like a teenager again whenever I hear you sing. Please continue to trust your parents. Do not sign any entertainment industry contract. The stresses of contract obligations can destroy your health and your life. In our modern times of high technology and social media, you have conquered our hearts on a global scale. You don't need the entertainment industry mongols to promote your music. You can do that yourself via social media. You would have control of your music and your performance schedule. By staying an Indy (independent) performer, you can keep and strengthen your physical, mental, and emotional health. Pulse you will have the time to finish school and even earn a college degree in any area you have interest in. Willie Nelson is older than I am and is still creating, producing, and selling his own albums. Check him out on KZbin. ❤️🤗

I stumbled across Courtney Hadwins voice kids and AGT performances on You tube. Her unbridled style and authentic voice brought tears to my eyes. I can’t wait till I can attend a live show. I hope you discover the massive amount of bands that continued to rock since the 70s. It's tough feeling like there isn't music you like anymore. The name might deter you but Hippie Death Cult is a newer great band and I think you would like them. My Dad who grew up in the same music era as you seems to always go back to the older songs more often than newer and he was actually bobbing his head to their music (the only amount of dancing he only does when he is reeeeeally into a song). There are so many wonderful bands. The radio tricks people into thinking they don't exist. I'm so glad we have KZbin etc... And don't have to rely on the radio as much now.

It’s a formulated way to be remembered. It’s very clever.

Cynthia Young I hope she gets a decent bit of freedom with it. Often these companies restrict and try to make over their artists into what they want to market with little concern for the artists' interests or wishes. There have been quite a few artists that have felt completely trapped and caged in by their labels. Some of the Indies out there have been bitten and have stayed away from the big labels since their experiences so they never receive the big promotions and exposure on TV and Radio. She's certainly a remarkable singer for not yet 16 years old.

Lisa Williams It's ridiculous to say that nobody in the music industry today is close to her talent. There are some brilliant performers although I do think there are also a lot of indifferent performers. Part of the problem is he record companies out for profit. Contracts often completely stifle singers' creativity by dictating what the singer must do to fulfil the contract. I hope that doesn't have that experience.
