You did an amazing job on the show! I am a hetero, middle-aged female and this show has impacted me so much, so I can only imagine how it is for the young LGBTQIA community! My son came out to us as bisexual a while ago and it is something that he really struggled with for a long time. I wish this show had existed when he was younger, because it definitely would have helped him in his journey. I'm 40 and knew I was bi as a teen, but I had zero representation or knowledge of how to talk to people about it. It wasn't until My wife came out as trans that I could even tell anyone. My wife wasn't surprised but I still never said much for a long time because of so much bi-erasure. I cried so hard watching this episode in particular. When I first saw you on this show, I was so excited that they picked you to represent one of the few key moments Nick was discovering he might be Bi. Doing a rewatch of some of my favorite Heartstopper reactions and I noticed that when Charlie was babbling to Nick about going on a proper date sometime but then he said that was probably a stupid idea, I saw a parallel there with the scene between Mr Farouk and Mr Ajayi in episode six of season 2 after Darcy rendered Mr Ajayi's bed unusable. And it was absolutely adorable both times.

As a person raised in a very homophobic context, this show felt really healing to me. I had the same bisexual confusion as Nick, I even asked my friends about their sexuality just like he did. And everybody has this certainty about what they like, it seems so clear for them. Good to know that there are other people who experience something similar as I do.

You could feel the emotion when you started to cry. You not only got to be the main helpful component in a characters coming out journey, but all of the young kids who are going to watch this show and find your channel, or just see you in the episode and relate to you and your story also, is incredible. I’m in tears for you. I’m bisexual, and I was in love with my best friend growing up. They were transgender, but didn’t transition until after high school. So I spent my highschool time loving my female best friend. We had done stuff together, and it was always me who kept it a secret. I remember having them listen to the song “these roses” by gin wigmore on the school bus one morning because it was the only song I thought could explain what I was feeling. They were wild, and free and didn’t care what anyone thought of them. They passed away a couple years ago. They were killed in a foreign country most likely due to being trans. My biggest regret is that I was too scared to love the person who showed me true love to begin with. I wish I had a show like this growing up, I wish I had people like you to look up to growing up. I’m 27. A lot of people don’t realize that even 10 years ago, a lot of this stuff was still seen as taboo. I’m so happy to see that that’s changing. I don’t know you, but I’m so intensely proud of you. Thank you for being a wonderful person for others to look up to.

Courtney, I love what you're doing here and in Heartstopper. As a 50 year old woman who came out when I was 16, I so wish there had been people like you and shows like Heartstopper around. It would have made conversations easier and it would have made it so much easier for me to admit to being bi back then (I identify as pan now). As it was, you had 2 choices then: you could be straight or gay and it felt like it was mostly determined by the relationship you were currently in. Even in crazy liberal California. I loved your comment about being the person you wanted to have. You are a delight and I really love to see you continuing to provide not only the education, but the safe space for folks to figure this stuff out and to walk with them down that road. Well done you! I wish you all the best in every way.

When I first saw your scenes on Heartstopper, I somehow felt like I've known you for a very long time. I realize that I hadn't come across your channel before Heartstopper, but something about how you shared your experience and helped Nick understand more about himself made felt so familiar, comfortable, warm, and inviting. Also, your reaction to your own scene was honestly the best! Keep up the great work! 😁❤️

Thanks for this reaction video, it was so lovely to see how genuinely touched you were by your scenes in the show and it's just another way to highlight how important it is for kids in the LGBTQ community to have positive role models and representation in the media and how pivotal it can be to help people find out who they are and how/where they fit

Agree with your comment on bullying at school … I was the same. I learnt to fight back with cutting words too … better to get in before they completely destroyed me. It helped me get thru high school but the bullying sucked. I’ve never understood why we just can’t let people be 🤷🏼♀️ Why is there a need to label everyone and put them into specific boxes. Btw … loving your reactions on this series. It’s sooo bloody awesome and found I you thru this episode 💞

I'm so proud of you and your appearance in this episode, it's so amazing! Not only did you help me while I was in the closet through your KZbin channel but now with Heartstopper as well, you get to help so many others discover and proudly accept who they truly are and I love you for that. :)

Having watched the series, along with reaction videos, several times, I think that part of Tao being upset about Charlie & Nick is because he is aware of his feelings for Elle &, he's confused by the gender issues, as well as the repercussions of changing their relationship. Charlie being "gone" only intensifies those fears. It's really cool to see you react to your own scenes. You made a great contribution.

Omg, you're making me cry with happiness, I'm so thrilled for you! Sending you a giant cross-Atlantic virtual hug and I'm so happy that so many people (including myself) are finding their youtube bisexual sherpa through the show! Did you know that they were going to use Pirates of the Carribean as Nick's first bi panic? I kind of lost it at that scene, bc literally like 2 weeks before I watched the show I had a conversation with a bi friend who had basically the EXACT same experience as Nick with the same movie lol.

So glad that you're there for people who need a Sherpa. Equally glad that you're being made aware of how much of an influence for good you have been in the lives of the people you've touched. As I've been watching this series (and your additional commentary) I remember more and more instances in my own life - though in many cases happening with different people and at different times. Some are happy, some are sort of a light punch in the gut, but it feels so good to see the feelings portrayed - sort of a validation, that yeah, what I felt back then was real enough the others felt it enough to bring it to life for the whole world to see.
